Review of the TP-Link Archer C5400X Tri Band Gaming Router
What's the difference between one router and another Much of that comes down to you. How many people are going to connect How much bandwidth are you getting from your ISP And for choosing a gaming router, what kind of games do you play
Extremely dissappointed
Purchased 7-21-18 from MicroCenter. Extremely easy set up. Basically plug it in & go. Within a couple weeks problems started. Somewhere along the line the SSID of all 3 bands changed to the same name as the 2.4 band. This caused problems & took me a bit to realize what happened.
Ticks all the boxes - Id of paid more!
Unbelievable piece of kit! If your looking to upgrade from the standard virgin router this is what your after! Full 220MB on Wi-Fi from all rooms in the house, baring in mind it's a 3 storey building and the router is on the bottom floor! Can't speak highly enough of it.
If you are going to buy a tri-band router, the TP-Link Archer C5400 is certainly an option to consider in terms of price. The router is priced at an average of 344 dollars in our price comparison, and it's easy to find for ten bucks less.

TP-LINK Archer C5400 Tri-Band MU-MIMO Wireless Router Review
It's insanely fast performance topped out our list on every band from every distance, slowed only slightly when we upped the testing distance to a range of 30ft or more. If you want a router that performs under pressure, fits almost anywhere, and runs with bleeding edge technology like MU-MIMO...
TP-Link Archer C5400 v2 review
A very powerful router that packs almost all the networking functionality any home user might reasonably want. The C5400 Lilly is gilded with wired link aggregation and now IoT support.
Great range
Excellent coverage, which is what I was looking for. Covers my whole house and front and back yard, approximately 3/4 acre. Signal goes right through my steel roof easily.
TP-Link Archer C5400X gaming router
Robust QoS and blazing 5 GHz throughput puts the Archer C5400X at the front of the gaming router pack.
can't handle a house full of smart devices
I have this set up to use with many devices. iMacs, iPads, iPhones, Custom built PCs, many IoT devices and this router can't handle it. The second 5g signal fails almost all the time. It was easy to set up and the tether app is great and the signal strength is there.- Easy To Set Up
