too many software problems

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: after using this product for a while, I found it's very buggy on auxiliary features, like if you were sharing very large file via ftp, then the file is not shared in whole, only a portion of the file are accessible, and if you were using parental control heavily, like putting 40 or more keywords in...

Absolute Night and Day difference!

★★★★ 4.0
Verdict: Overall this is the absolute best router I have ever purchased. The signal strength is powerful and range is very far. I tried the Linksys AC5400 before this TP Link and returned it after 4 days because it was not keeping a constant signal.
Pros:
  • Great sleek design
Cons:
  • - None to report so far after a week of use

Only time will tell

★★★★ 1.0
Verdict: Purchased this router to replace decade old Linksys. Provides pretty good coverage throughout two story property. Worked for little over a year and WiFi stopped broadcasting. During investigation, the WiFi had been disabled in setting due to "WiFi restricted in your country or region" error;...

TP-Link AC5400

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: Worked one day and failed. Horrible experience attempting to return to the store. My recommendation is to not purchase this product. The only reason for the original purchase was the store only had these left on the shelf.

Ticks all the boxes - Id of paid more!

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: Unbelievable piece of kit! If your looking to upgrade from the standard virgin router this is what your after! Full 220MB on Wi-Fi from all rooms in the house, baring in mind it's a 3 storey building and the router is on the bottom floor! Can't speak highly enough of it.

can't handle a house full of smart devices

★★★★★ 3.0
Verdict: I have this set up to use with many devices. iMacs, iPads, iPhones, Custom built PCs, many IoT devices and this router can't handle it. The second 5g signal fails almost all the time. It was easy to set up and the tether app is great and the signal strength is there.
Pros:
  • Easy To Set Up
Cons:
  • drops signal
  • Unreliable

TP-Link Archer C5400 AC5400

★★★★ 4.2
Verdict: If you haven't noticed, a lot of routers come through the lab here at TweakTown . I get a few every month and so even for me it becomes difficult to put one router above the next because they all serve a purpose.

Extremely dissappointed

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: Purchased 7-21-18 from MicroCenter. Extremely easy set up. Basically plug it in & go. Within a couple weeks problems started. Somewhere along the line the SSID of all 3 bands changed to the same name as the 2.4 band. This caused problems & took me a bit to realize what happened.

Great range

★★★★ 1.0
Verdict: Excellent coverage, which is what I was looking for. Covers my whole house and front and back yard, approximately 3/4 acre. Signal goes right through my steel roof easily.

  • Exceptional 5Ghz performance
Cons:
  • Very expensive

No device connection/disconnection logging

★★★★ 1.0
Verdict: Lacks the basic feature of loggin device connection/disconnection, making it impossible to debug connectivity issues properly, and to check if someone is accessing your network without permission.

TP-Link Archer C5400 HomeCare Router

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: We all have a wireless router, and to a certain extent, it's just that thing that sits in the corner of the house, collecting dust and hopefully going about its business without a lot of involvement on the part of the user.

  • Mind-blowing performance
  • enhanced functionality via HomeCare update proves TP-Link stands behind its products
Cons:

★★★★ 4.3
Verdict: It's insanely fast performance topped out our list on every band from every distance, slowed only slightly when we upped the testing distance to a range of 30ft or more. The TP-Link C5400X is at its lowest price this Prime Day

★★★★★ 5.0
Verdict: TP-Link calls the Archer C5400X a gaming router, yet the one area where it's conspicuously lacking is gamer-oriented features. Cynically, I find myself wondering whether TP-Link is trying to woo gamers simply because they tend to be less cost-averse than regular consumers.
Pros:
  • Fantastic performance and range
  • Eight Ethernet ports
  • Friendly
  • feature-packed interface
Cons:
  • The price
  • obviously
  • Not much here for gamers
