Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 (44MM, Gold) - Excellent review
As one of the best alternatives to an Apple Watch, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is an excellent choice for Android users, or anyone looking for a feature-rich, fitness-focused smartwatch bursting with great health features.- Simple yet stylish design, Bright, clean display, Vibrant and engaging UI, Lots of customisation on offer, Better-than-expected battery life
- Lack of third-party app support, UI could be more intuitive, Incremental upgrade over predecessor
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 Review
The Samsung Galaxy Active2 smartwatch adds LTE connectivity along with a few useful new features, but it's not a compelling upgrade over the original model. It's been a mere six months since Samsung released the Galaxy Watch Active, but the company is already back with the Active2 (starting at $279.99). While it's not a drastic upgrade from the original model, there are some welcome changes and additions. The biggest difference is that the Active2 comes in not only two case sizes, but two different versions: Bluetooth-only or Bluetooth and cellular. The smartwatch also features a new digital rotating bezel for more intuitive navigation, a My Style app for customized watch faces, and an updated version of Running Coach. It's a solid update, but not quite enough to recommend over the $200 original, and it certainly doesn't take the crown from the Apple Watch Series 5, our Editors' Choice. More Options to Choose From The first-generation Active comes in one 40mm case size, as a Bluetooth-only model. The Galaxy Watch Active2, on the other hand, comes in 40mm and 44mm cases. The Bluetooth-only model is made of aluminum and is available in ...- Digital rotating bezel makes navigation easier
- Available in two sizes
- LTE connectivity
- Inconsistent battery life and fitness accuracy in testing
- Limited iOS compatibility
- Thick bezel
My wife is loving her bday present
It's a great smartwatch with all the bells and whistles.
Awesome Features
What I like best about this product apart from the time is I'm able to answer the phone & talk to who ever is ringing me & it keeps an eye on my heart rate
Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 (44MM, Gold) - Excellent review
The Galaxy Watch Active 2 has received a heap of new features that make it a seriously excellent smartwatch in 2021. Its mix of price, compact sporty build and decent health features put it at the top table of smartwatch options, with plenty of deals available.- Still a lovely smartwatch to wear, Rotating bezel, Feature-packed for the price, ECG and blood pressure
A sleek smartwatch that's better value than the Galaxy Watch 3
A year after release, there's a lot to like about the Galaxy Watch Active 2 especially now that ECG is finally available.- Comfortable during workouts and when sleeping. Same VO2 max and trip detection as the Watch 3. Updated running coach works if you can live with the Bixby voice. Touch bezel to navigate between menus. Comes in two sizes, with an LTE option.
- Battery life on the smaller 40mm version takes a beating during workouts, especially with the always-on display active. ECG is only available when tied to a Galaxy phone.
Great Watch
Still learning the features and capabilities - but overall very happy with the purchase.

For me a good replacement for Apple series 4
My second hand 40mm Apple Watch had certain failings, battery and small watch face. I was swayed by the sale offer of $200 off and I find it works well with the iphone11, my only draw back is not being able to checkout emails, but that is not a show stopper. Message alerts, sleep tracking, activity tracking, alarms and timers all work for me just takes a couple of days to adjust as with any new tech device. Nice large face which with most watch faces uses a low power mode which makes the readable without elevating the wrist. Good batt life but again dependant on the number of apps in play. Display provides more help and assistance and of course more readable with the larger display.
