Easy to set up

My modem/router was dropping out continually so I bought a TP Link modem and this router. They were so simple to set up, just plugged it all in and set the passwords etc; job done. It really couldn't have been simpler. I now have excellent coverage and no dropping out.

Died Twice in 2 weeks and CS hangs up on you

First one I had lasted 2 years, this newest model is Junk. Died twice and their customer service is in India and they hang up on you if you politely ask for someone who can speak English a little better. First guy was ok for tech support but very hard to understand.

Working well

Have used daily for over 4 years with no problems; probably should upgrade to newer and faster unit but it serves my purpose for our home and extends use to full property indoors and outside.

I'm returning it.

During setup it says I need an Ethernet adapter. This is a new wireless laptop. If in fact a wireless adapter is needed it should have been included or a proviso stating that one was needed should have been posted.

Excellent Product

I have purchased and used this wireless router for my apartment. It is vey easy to install, reasonable price and gives out good signals. I purchased a wireless router from another manufacturer a couple of years ago when I did not know a thing routers; thus, I simply used an Ethernet to connect with...

Sufficient router with the durability and convenience

I thought that the wireless router is sufficient for a small one bedroom apartment or a studio because the range seems to be only about 50 to 75 feet or less. I have two laptops and desktop connected to the wireless router at home.

Useless product - DO NOT BUY!

This modem/router is useless. It drops out time and time again. It's not the computer and it's not the phone. Disconnecting the phone made no difference to me. With this rubbish you'll be frustrated with everything you want to do.

Great for Wireless Internet - C r a p p y for Internal Networking / Filesharing

Tech support is a joke! The first 2 reps I talked to didnt understand the number 12!!!!!!! Did you say 4? W T F!?! Really... Tech #3.. Well, after 1.5hrs (mostly on hold), "take the router back to the store for a replacement"! Sorry, we cant RMA the device! W T F, really?!?

It allowed me to restore my internet connection after my previous router died.

Killed internal traffic on my network (20kps max throughput - to slow to even do a firmware update); I can unplug this device and my internal traffic returns back to normal speed..

Unreliable, quit in less than a year

I am forced to BUY a second unit after nine months, way before for one-year guarantee. Netgear does not support its product. Why and I buying another one? Because it is the only router that works with MAC. Otheriwse, I would never do business with Netgear.

Unreliable
