For testing, we used two laptops that have built-in wireless-N and both are installed with IXIA QCheck. IXIA QCheck is a network troubleshooting tool that can check network response time, throughput, traceroute and streaming performance.

I bought this wireless router to connect my Mac powerbook, my Hp pavillion, Wii, Dsi, and a Dell desktop. Set up was very simple, within 10 minutes I had it set up in all my devices. I have been able to use it outside about 150 feet away from the router and have not lost signal.

I am forced to BUY a second unit after nine months, way before for one-year guarantee. Netgear does not support its product. Why and I buying another one? Because it is the only router that works with MAC. Otheriwse, I would never do business with Netgear.

It's not been long since we last reviewed an ASUS RT-N10U wireless router which isn't in the company top among wireless routers. Today we decided to have a look at the NETGEAR WNR1000v2 model that has no external antenna and no USB port.

Tech support is a joke! The first 2 reps I talked to didnt understand the number 12!!!!!!! Did you say 4? W T F!?! Really... Tech #3.. Well, after 1.5hrs (mostly on hold), "take the router back to the store for a replacement"! Sorry, we cant RMA the device! W T F, really?!?

It allowed me to restore my internet connection after my previous router died.

Killed internal traffic on my network (20kps max throughput - to slow to even do a firmware update); I can unplug this device and my internal traffic returns back to normal speed..

I recommend this router wholeheartedly. It is so easy to set up. The installation CD takes you through all the necessary steps - and just does it all for you. The instructions are easy to follow so you're up and running quickly.

once you figure out how to hook up correctly wirelessly then it is great....it still may not be hooked up correctly for all of my users associated with my computer but at least it works for the majority......scanning is awesome and a breeze....

The router we had before was total crap and you couldnt get on the internet with a laptop even when you were 2 ft away from it. Now we can get on the internet from upstairs. We haven't had any problems and it was easy to setup. We also got a good deal. Very pleased with this product!

My modem/router was dropping out continually so I bought a TP Link modem and this router. They were so simple to set up, just plugged it all in and set the passwords etc; job done. It really couldn't have been simpler. I now have excellent coverage and no dropping out.

This modem/router is useless. It drops out time and time again. It's not the computer and it's not the phone. Disconnecting the phone made no difference to me. With this rubbish you'll be frustrated with everything you want to do.
