Awesome Speed and Value
I bought two of these for home a while ago. I've since purchased three for my offioe. They fast smart switches for an incredible price. This is a good deal.

Updates on Jumbo Frames and GS608
An update on using Jumbo Frames (> 1514 bytes per frame) with this product. According to the Netgear site the V1 version of this (non-firmware upgradeable product) did NOT support Jumbo packets.

Works great
Works great, gives me much needed network ports. Fast. Small and shiny. Pretty compact for 8 ports. Numbered lights on front display different colors based on 100Mbit or Gigabit.

easy
one of the best networking switch i have used just plugged it in and that was it evrything just works my printer network hard disk my wireless media sharing centre.

Just installed this product, delighted! Everything sets up as it should, no problems (1 Caveat though - see below). Of course, Gigabit networking makes all those Multimedia file transfers sooooo much faster.

Clean and Simple

Works with the PS3
If you are searching for a switch that works with the PS3 and doesn't block UPnP this is the bit of kit you need.

My plans were to hook this up to two computers and two Dish receivers and then leave to hook ups in other rooms for lap tops if needed. so far it has worked out great. My next step is to add video com. so my parents can see their grandaughter, I hope it will work. Wish me luck.

Mains converter needed & supplied
The only minor issue is that, rather than a native UK power supply unit, it came with a two prong PSU and a converter so it could be used in a UK socket. This works fine, but is rather bulky. That said, the device is working just fine.
