Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7 Headphones

The ATH -ANC7s are a pair of active noise cancelling over-ears from Audio-Technica. The ATH -ANC7s have the ability to turn their active noise cancellation feature on and off, which immediately puts them leagues beyond many other active-cancellers.

audio-technica QuietPoint Active Noise Cancelling Headphones ATH-ANC7b Review

My first experience with noise cancelling technology was many years ago when I got bumped up to first class on a Singapore Airlines flight. They offered us the headsets for a 15 hour flight to the West coast US and it made me want to buy a set when I got back home.

Quality; comfort; noise cancelling; fidelity

Couldn't find any

Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7b Noise-Cancelling Headphones (Playback 29)

published a series of reviews of active noise-cancelling headphones, collectively called the "Sounds of Silence", and one of our favorite models at the time was Audio-Technica's "Quiet Point" ATH-ANC7.

Audio Technica ATH-ANC7B

For years the ATH-ANC7B was the spearhead of Audio Technica's active noise-cancelling headphone range... Even now and despite the release of the ANC9, it still has what it takes!

They're comfortable; Good active noise cancellation; Accessories

Not as good sound quality & ANC as more recent models; Rendering not perfect

Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7b Headphones

I'll be straight with you: much as I like some in-ear headphones, given the choice between listening to a set of IEMs and a pair of proper, full-sized cans, I'd choose the latter every time. However, there are times when that choice isn't really a choice at all.

"Enjoy Your Music In Peace With Audio-Technica"

The Audio-Technica QuietPoint ATH-ANC7b headphones sounds better, is more comfortable, and offers better noise cancellation than its predecessor, the ANC7. Unfortunately, this headphone suffers from a couple of problems that may put off users.

Noise-cancelling technology; Works without batteries; A lot of included accessories; Easy storage; Price point

Weak bass; Sound leaks disturbs other people

Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 headphones

Even though noise-cancelling head gear can be found in earphone form, there's no substitute for a good pair of full-size cans. And that's what we're looking at here. At around AU$299, Audio Technica's ATH-ANC7s are comparable in price to Sennheiser's terrific PXC 350s and are on sale now.

General sound quality; Decent comfort; Excellent noise-cancellation; Concealed battery compartment; Detachable audio cable

Treble performance is weak; Sound quality in passive mode is poor; Sound leaks at higher volumes

Good headphone with reasonable price

This is the 2nd pair I have purchased to replace the previous one which was broken by my lawnmower. I had to use a riding lawnmower to cut grasses in my yard. The lawnmower is noisy.I used the headphone mainly to reduce the noise level to acceptable level while listening to radio or music of my...

Good Value; Comfortable; Great Sound; Good audio
