The Nikon D800 is a fantastic all-rounder capable of producing jaw-dropping results on both photography and video fronts. Outstanding stuff from Nikon.

The camera controls you'll need most are neatly located within easy reach when you're prepping your shots; Buttons on top for shooting speed, ISO and white balance ensures you've got everything you need at your fingertips and within easy reach.

The large images taken by the NIkon D800 can be a strain on lower-specced computer set-ups; even your higher-end desktop or laptop will have its work cut out juggling photo editing working with photos taken by the Nikon D800.

Got this camera from Michigan Cameras. it was refurbished ...

Got this camera from Michigan Cameras. it was refurbished and shutter count was on 24k as said in description. I was bit surprised, that there was no signs of use, everything works as it should be. I have tested with an old lense and I have a bit backfocusing but I guess it's all lense's fault.

Nikon D800 review

One interesting way to compare high-spec cameras is on the thickness of the accompanying manual. My old Sony Alpha A100 had a typical manual for an entry-level model, a relatively slim 160-page volume, while the Pentax K7 that I mainly use these days has a more substantial 334-page book befitting...

Image quality; Build quality; Handling

Some fiddly controls; Live view AF; Slower FPS (if it bothers you

Full Marks to Nikon!!

I am a freelance wildlife/landscape photographer and my images have to be top-notch in order to make sales. I have used D300/D700/D3s and now the D800. I have also had occasion to borrow/hire equipment from other manufacturers.

Durable; Great Features; Great Picture Quality; Lightweight; Pro Standard; Simple Controls
