Another golden oldie, the Nikon D800 is actually still in widespread use. It features a stunning 36.3MP full-frame sensor, but boasts a trusty 51-point AF system and 4fps continuous shooting speed. The ISO range is showing its age, with a low 100 and high of 6400.

Got this camera from Michigan Cameras. it was refurbished ...

Got this camera from Michigan Cameras. it was refurbished and shutter count was on 24k as said in description. I was bit surprised, that there was no signs of use, everything works as it should be. I have tested with an old lense and I have a bit backfocusing but I guess it's all lense's fault.

Great camera

Great picture quality and focuses clearly. Even though I had a D610 there is still much to learn and pique my interest.

Quite frankly, it's a bit surprising that more fuss isn't being made about the Nikon D800. With its 36.8 megapixels 35mm-sized sensor, it's the most significant thing to happen to ‘small format' D-SLRs for quite a while and, with this amount of resolution, to medium format D-SLRs as well.

I have been using Nikon's D800 for the past 6 months. I bought it second hand and I'm more than happy with the pictures its producing for me. Its FPS for sports in its FX mode may be a little on the slow side, but when you switch it to the DX (x1.5) crop mode, its able to hit 5 FPS which is a much...

Nikon D800 Review

In many methods, the D800 had a challenging act to adhere to in the 12MP D700, which was (and remains) one of the best all-rounders of any DSLR we have ever used. The requirement of some Nikon customers for a greater quality style despite, there was not a whole lot we would have desired to see...

It's great camera - the image quality is superb

It's great camera - the image quality is superb. However, and you'll find this in other reviews also - the LCD screen has a weird yellowish-green tint to it and the shutter is super loud. That said, the images come out fine (no tint). It's a good pro-level camera.

The Nikon D800 is a fantastic all-rounder capable of producing jaw-dropping results on both photography and video fronts. Outstanding stuff from Nikon.

The camera controls you'll need most are neatly located within easy reach when you're prepping your shots; Buttons on top for shooting speed, ISO and white balance ensures you've got everything you need at your fingertips and within easy reach.

The large images taken by the NIkon D800 can be a strain on lower-specced computer set-ups; even your higher-end desktop or laptop will have its work cut out juggling photo editing working with photos taken by the Nikon D800.

great camera, still has slight green color shift

4th Nikon DLSR. Great camera, but still has slight green color shift. Color controls don't quite compensate. Overall, happy, given that all photography is a compromise. High MP also means increased noise. 800E might be worth the extra $$$.

Great Camera

I went from a D3200 to the D800 and found it easy to learn. I use it with a Nikon 500mm F/4 super telephoto lens and love it. It recently developed a focusing issue and is currently in the shop at Nikon, forcing me to use my D7100.
