Camera high sensitivity and suitable for professional photographers and enthusiasts

The Nikon FX seal , stamping the full-frame cameras , draws attention of photo enthusiasts and professionals . It is inserted in cameras similar to 35mm film size sensor. As the fundamental matter of the photograph is the recording of light , the larger the sensor , the more light is captured .

Professional DSLR Nikon 800

I'm a professional editorial and lifestyle photographer. I currently use and/or have used various different camera systems including the Canon, Hasselblad, Mamiya and Nikon. I've been a Canon shooter for nearly 5 years working with the 5D MII and the MIII.

Feels like a Precision Instrument vs Grown up Toy

bought this during a sale for about 2250 which was a steal for this new model (upgrade from old D200 DX model). Had some older high quality FX lenses which work great with this camera (28-70mm 2.8, 70-200mm VR, 50mm 1.4D). I would carry it wherever I go but with the 28-70mm, its weighs about 5 LBs.

Build Quality; Image Quality; Uncompressed HDMI-out video; dual card slots; battery life; Accurate focus tracking; wide range of customization options; no shallow DOF loss due to FX sensor

both of the dual card slots could be SD even though CF has higher potential throughput (not many CF cards have higher throughput than SD currently and CF is alot more expensive); slower burst rate than competing models (although the product is not positioned towards sports photographers); heavy,...

Great Camera

I went from a D3200 to the D800 and found it easy to learn. I use it with a Nikon 500mm F/4 super telephoto lens and love it. It recently developed a focusing issue and is currently in the shop at Nikon, forcing me to use my D7100.

Nikon D800: Review

Our impressions on the new Nikon D800 are very positive. The changes that Nikon has made make it a major improvement over the previous D700. What is appreciated is the feeling of holding a product of the top for quality of the captured images, both for details and for color fidelity, but especially...

A great camera!

Very happy with the D800 and that J&R delivered it very quickly! IQ is excellent. The camera can see much more than my eyes can do in the near-darkness. Exposure delay for 3-sec plus self-timer helps a lot while I'm waiting for a L-plate.

Convenient Live View; Exposure Delay up to 3-s; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Generous Shadow Pushing; Good Image Quality; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Power Low-light Focusing

I have upgraded this Camera from Nikon D70 which I bought 10 years back. Learning Curve with D800 is very fast as many of the control button and Menu options are similar as Nikon D70. This is certainly have high number features and improvements then D70.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; Good Image Stabilization; High ISO Performance; Large Clear LCD; Quiet; Tilt /Swivel LCD

AMAZING CAMERA FOR THE MONEY

I am learning photography as a hobby, and I really like the D7000, easy to use and produce amazing images easy, great colors and sharpness. However, since I have all the FX lenses I need a full frame camera so I got the D700.It's a great camera, but it "feels" a little dated with its...

The Nikon D800 is a fantastic all-rounder capable of producing jaw-dropping results on both photography and video fronts. Outstanding stuff from Nikon.

The camera controls you'll need most are neatly located within easy reach when you're prepping your shots; Buttons on top for shooting speed, ISO and white balance ensures you've got everything you need at your fingertips and within easy reach.

The large images taken by the NIkon D800 can be a strain on lower-specced computer set-ups; even your higher-end desktop or laptop will have its work cut out juggling photo editing working with photos taken by the Nikon D800.
