Great addition to my other Pro Nikons

After buying my D800 I took a trip to Europe to see family and friends, I also packed my tried and true D700 as a backup camera the D800 performed great, We went to the RIAT 2013 airshow the camera did well shooting static exhibit's but lacked the FPS for the air performances, That's where my D700...

Stellar!

First, I started out with a Nikon D300 in college and then wanted full frame and went canon. Since then I have gone back in forth with Canon and Pentax, but something just wasn't right. I started reading reviews and it was filling my life.

Nikon D800 Review: Function and Form Converge

With its 36 megapixel sensor, sophisticated feature set and amazing image quality, the Nikon D800 offers a solid–and more affordable–alternative to photographers who crave medium-format files without stretching a budget to the breaking point.

Excellent image quality; Large files that allow for cropping; Broad dynamic range; Sophisticated feature set; Expanded video functionality

No "small" RAW options, CF and SD card slots vs; dual CF slots, Moderate 4fps continuous shooting, Focus hunting in video AF

Film SLR owner who hasn't gone digital; As I noted, we're clearly beyond film now; The D800 models are better than shooting with an F100, in almost every respect; The reason why we still have film holdouts isn't because of quality, though, it's because of workflow.

Amazing Camera

The low-light capability is incredible with this high of resolution. The detail will not dissapoint. You will look deep into images and be amazed at the fine detail captured. Dynamic range is also unmatched.

Nikon D800 has 36.3 megapixels sensor.

The Nikon FX seal , stamping the full-frame cameras , draws attention of photo enthusiasts and professionals . It is inserted in cameras similar to 35mm film size sensor. As the fundamental matter of the photograph is the recording of light , the larger the sensor , the more light is captured .

An amazing camera, great value.

The D800 is easily the best Nikon I've worked with. While it's not perfect in every way, it's pretty close to it. Firstly, image quality is amazing. Obviously with the 36.6 megapixel resolution you're going to notice motion blur when pixel peeping at 100% unless you're shooting at really high...

D800 Pure Detail

I have shot various DSLR and own various DSLR. THe D800 while it has its headaches of huge picture file, the satisfaction is worth every bit of it. The level of details on both print and screen resolution is amazing. Excellent dynamic rante.

Picture quality; Ease of use

Can bit a bit heavy when paired with battery grip and a lens like 70-200 or 24-70.

Perfect all-purpose camera

This camera has everything I could want for all-purpose shooting. Ignore those who say it's only good for studio and landscape photography. It can do everything. For action shooting, you can put it in 1.2 crop mode, get 5 frames per second and still come away with a 25 megapixel image.

Easy To Use; Fast / Accurate Auto-Focus; Fast Shutter Speed; Good Image Quality; High ISO Performance
