Got this camera from Michigan Cameras. it was refurbished and shutter count was on 24k as said in description. I was bit surprised, that there was no signs of use, everything works as it should be. I have tested with an old lense and I have a bit backfocusing but I guess it's all lense's fault.

One interesting way to compare high-spec cameras is on the thickness of the accompanying manual. My old Sony Alpha A100 had a typical manual for an entry-level model, a relatively slim 160-page volume, while the Pentax K7 that I mainly use these days has a more substantial 334-page book befitting...

This is a superb camera for landscape and studio work. I have the 800E version and have not regretted the purchase to work alongside my D700. Be prepared to upgrade to a core I5 processor or higher to speed up processing and work in Raw to bring out the best from the camera.

So I waited for half year for the left autofocusing issue to settle down and finally bought one from Futureshop last week as there're reports that the latest production batch should be free of the left auto focusing issue. Unfortunately, the issue is still there.

I've had the D800 for over a month and I have to say that trading up from the D90 was the best decision I made. Coupled with NIKKOR lenses, my images come out incredibly sharp and crisp and I could not be happier.
