If you've got to have a video-capable Nikon, this is the best we've seen to date. But D800 video is obviously limited by technical issues (aliasing/moire), and feature omissions (peaking!).

great camera, still has slight green color shift

4th Nikon DLSR. Great camera, but still has slight green color shift. Color controls don't quite compensate. Overall, happy, given that all photography is a compromise. High MP also means increased noise. 800E might be worth the extra $$$.

Another golden oldie, the Nikon D800 is actually still in widespread use. It features a stunning 36.3MP full-frame sensor, but boasts a trusty 51-point AF system and 4fps continuous shooting speed. The ISO range is showing its age, with a low 100 and high of 6400.

Switched to this from my old workhorse canon eos 400d. What a difference in image quality and build quality on the house! : D Finally, you can use the 50mm 1.8 indoors because it is full-frame and you do not back 100meter to compose the image.
