Good board. For some reason the esata does not work and gigabyte support is of no help (as usual). But other than that its stable and looks great. Running: 8350 @ 4.7ghz 16gb 4x4 Samsung @ 1800 9-9-9-28 GTX 660 2x in SLi Runs great and the bios is finally not finicky like the other -ud3 boards.

Upgrade

The Mobo arrived in new condition. After the install the USB mouse and none of the USB ports were recognized. A setting in the bios needed to be changed, "IOMMU" :enable. A tip from the MFG would have been helpful. Otherwise the mobo performs well.

Great product couldn't get any better. I ordered it round about 4 pm on a Friday and the item didn't come into stock till the following Tuesday due to the bank holiday Monday, which I was very surprised that it had arrived the next day as it was a 3 day delivery.

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ ATX Motherboard Review

There are a lot things to take into consideration when you are ready to build your own custom PC. I personally find the best strategy is to start...

Strong SATA I/O Performance; Great Color Scheme; All of GIGABYTE's Premium Features in a lower price point; Plenty of Expansion Slots and Connectivity

Strong SATA I/O Performance; Great Color Scheme; All of GIGABYTE's Premium Features in a lower price point; Plenty of Expansion Slots and Connectivity; SATA I/O Sequential Read/Write performance a little low; Overclocking Limited by Voltage Regulation; Priced a little higher than competitors

Great Board

Recieved as a Christmas present!!! Thought I was getting the rev:3.0 version but its a rev:1.1. Looks great and set up with no problems.

Built tough; Easy set up; Bios was simple to figure out

Not rev:3.0

Pros

I can't currently say I would buy this board again. It has been a real PITA ever since I bought it. If I could figure out this problem it has with crashing on power standby I may give it more credit. Another oddity is that it crashes when I try to run the Windows 7 Windows Experience index.

After the hullabaloo of getting this thing initially running it has run ok as long as it didn't go into standby; so far; Only had it running for a few days; Looks pretty

Comes with a Bios revision (F3) that is not listed on the website and didn't support my FX 8370; I had to install an old cpu, (fortunately I had one around) and downgrade to the latest non beta bios (F2).

DO NOT BUY, Poor Quality build, HORRIBE customer s

The pci slot came off the board while un installing a video card, I've been building computers for awhile, I made sure I push the tabs down, and took the card out like your supposed too, Email the company and they accused me of uninstalling the video card properly..

Gigabyte FXA 990 UD3

Bought this to replace my 890 board so did strip out and fitted, the instructions and accessories were adequate, as most parts that come out can be reused. Instructions are clear plus pictures and diagrams are well laid out.

Do not buy if you plan to Overclock!

I purchased this board from Gigabyte on the premise that it had ok reviews from Newegg and Amazon and it was at a reasonable price. If you do not plan on overclocking your CPU than this motherboard should do you fine if you are looking for a more budget friendly option.

Sleek looking; Cheap; Plenty of PCI slots and USB slots

Overheating due to bad VRM; Bios is lacking
