iPhone X review: the best iPhone ever, but not good enough

4.0
Verdict: The iPhone X is far and away the best iPhone that Apple has ever made. But with such an exorbitant price and such such stiff competition from the likes of Samsung and others, the iPhone X doesn't distinguish itself enough to earn a full recommendation.
Pros: Gorgeous display, Stylish design, Great camera, One of the fastest phones around
Cons: Astonishingly expensive, Notch isn't particularly attractive, UI changes are a little off-putting,

Verdict: 2017 marks the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. What I remember most about the first iPhone was my sense of astonishment. Sure, it had its flaws, but I felt like I was holding the future of computing in the palm of my hand.
Pros: Gorgeous OLED display, Face ID works better than expected, Excellent photo quality, Greatly improved processing speed
Cons: Expensive, Mixed results with Portrait Lighting, Extra caution needs to be taken with the all-glass design

iPhone X 256GB

4.9
Verdict: All screen The Apple iPhone X has an extremely striking design. This is due to the front face being entirely screen, apart from a small area where the phone's cameras and sensors are placed. The screen precisely follows the contours and curves of the design, even at the rounded corners.

Apple iPhone X review: The future of Apple smartphones

5.0
Verdict: Ten years after the launch of the first iPhone, Apple has launched what it says is the phone that kickstarts the next decade for the iPhone. Apple iPhone X

5.0
Verdict: After a week of using the iPhone X, we can say with confidence that Apple has created a revolutionary and almost magical device. While it may not be as significant as the original iPhone, it introduces several new technologies that redefine the experience and move the needle significantly ahead.
Pros: Face ID is a game changer. New Super Retina OLED screen provides a whole new level of display quality. iPhone "Plus" dual-lens camera system in an iPhone 8-sized package. Wider aperture and OIS on 2X lens should provide better 2X photos.
Cons: The higher aspect ratio means the screen isn't actually larger than the iPhone Plus models, despite the larger diagonal. The front TrueDepth camera notch and rear camera bump detract from an otherwise great aesthetic. Lack of Touch ID makes Apple Pay slightly less convenient.

Apple iPhone X

4.0
Verdict: The iPhone X sets the stage for Apple's next decade, with a sharp new design and a future focus on augmented reality.
Pros: Updated design. Powerful processor. Excellent screen. First-of-its-kind augmented reality front camera. Animoji are really fun
Cons: Very expensive. Apps need to be reprogrammed to take advantage of display. Not the fastest modem

Review: iPhone X

4.5
Verdict: The iPhone X is not the phone of the future. It could be, someday, if Apple's right about augmented reality and the power of a great camera. But for now, the iPhone X represents Apple's most ambitious attempt ever at making a phone absolutely seamless.
Pros: Gorgeous design. Face ID is a great idea, mostly well executed. Lots of cameras, all of them excellent. It's faster and smoother than whatever phone you're using now
Cons: A grand is a lot to spend on a phone. Apple's love of simplicity sometimes makes everything more complicated. Goodbye, stealthy phone-checking

Apple iPhone X review

Verdict: The anniversary iPhone is here. The iPhone X. Or the iPhone 10. The name is as confusing as the product itself is game-changing. Tim Cook's vision finally overwhelmed Steve Jobs ideological remnants. A new dawn for the iPhones has begun, free of the iconic Home key and the notorious screen bezels.

iPhone X 256GB

5.0
Verdict: And the iPhone X certainly doesn't disappoint. It is a massive departure from what we usually get from an iPhone. For a start, the home button that's been a fixture of the device for 10 years, is gone. And in its place, is even more real estate for the dazzling 5.8-inch Super Retina display.

Verdict: Over the past few years I've openly cheated on my iPhones with Android and, on few occasions, with Windows Phone. Moving forward, as much as a serial cellular cheater can, I can see myself being monogamous with the iPhone X.

Apple iPhone X Smartphone Review

4.0
Verdict: Apple launches the iPhone X for the iPhone's 10th birthday, which is sold in addition to the "regular" iPhones. The highlight is obviously the OLED screen with very slim bezels. The concept works really well in practice, and we did not miss the Home button.
Pros: great display with True Tone, powerful SoC, nice design, great build quality, fast Wi-Fi performance, Bluetooth 5.0, many supported LTE bands, very good dual-camera, IP67
Cons: comparatively heavy, storage cannot be expanded, only 12 months warranty, NFC functionality heavily limited, no stereo jack

Apple iPhone X

4.5
Verdict: I came home late from my first day of testing the iPhone X. My wife sent me audio clips over iMessage from the kids after I sent them pictures of myself, now beardless. "O-M-G. I can't even recognize Daddy!" I couldn't recognize myself either.
Pros: A great blend of handheld comfort and a big, gorgeous OLED screen. Rear telephoto camera outshoots the 8 Plus in low light, and the front camera snaps impressive portrait selfies. Face ID generally works fine
Cons: New interface and no home button mean major adjustments, and key features such as the Control Center are harder to reach and use. It'll take time for most apps to be optimized for notched screen. The phone is hella expensive, and the all-glass design means a case and an insurance plan are musts
