Portable Bluetooth wireless speakers shouldn't be delicate flowers - they're meant to be handled a bit roughly as you tote them around with you. They also need long-lasting batteries to last through the day (and into the night).

A word about the seller, Omnikeys. I purchased this unit because it was the lowest priced version. I didn't realize at the time that I was ordering from South Korea. When I realized what I had done, I began to fret, worrying about gray market goods and so forth. My fears were unfounded.

Having listened to (and purchased) several brands of high end bluetooth speakers, I can confidently say that the UE Boom is the best of the genre; Construction and attention to detail are rock-solid; The units are aesthetically pleasing and the sound quality is quite satisfactory.

With all its pros; it still feels pretty ridiculous to drop $200 on a bluetooth speaker; let alone $400 to have a stereo pair

As portable device speakers go, the UE Boom, really is quite spectacular. If anyone is familiar with the Henry Kloss Tivoli Audio radios and think they are good, well these are just as good.

Love it it for the following reasons: 1.Really loud. 2.Don't feel cheap on your hand, the rubber material makes it feel safe in your hands. 3.Long Battery life. I used it for 2 hours and it only used 15% of battery!

Logitech subsidary Ultimate Ear's original UE Boom was widely celebrated as one of the best portable Bluetooth speakers you could buy. With the UE Boom 2, Ultimate Ears has iterated with a speaker that's better, but a little pricier.
