"Is it a game, movie, or maimed gam-vie as my friend rightly said?"
I am an avid gamer as my readers would have realised by now by the sheer number of my game reviews compared to anything else. And they must be also well acquainted with my tightly structured writing style with proper sub-headings discussing all aspects of a typical game – graphics, storyboard,...
Pros:
- Breathtaking Visuals
- Flawless Technicals
Cons:
- Weak story
- non-interactive gameplay

The Order: 1886 review
Set in an alternate Victorian steampunk era, The Order: 1886 bundles werewolves, Jack the Ripper and Arthurian legend in with a load of wood-handled, high-tech gadgets and empire-era mock-futuristic weaponry.

The Order: 1886
Join the Knights of the Round Table. Fight off half breeds and rogue human organisations. Superb graphics and game world to explore. Use advanced steampunk technology to counter the threat. Available only on PlayStation 4.
Pros:
- Visually impressive – Steampunk London design
Cons:
- Actual gameplay is minimal – Fight humans more than half-breeds

The Order: 1886 review – Victorian?folly
Beneath the technical wonder this is just a dull, aimless Gears Of War clone – where the attempts at storytelling are just as boring and lifeless as the action.
Pros:
- Amazing graphics, that are the best yet on the PlayStation 4
- The third person combat is relatively competent and the QTEs are some of the better examples of their breed
Cons:
- Unbearably boring from its first moments, with an underwritten script, bland characters, and repetitive and overfamilar action
- No replay value or additional game modes

The Order: 1886 Review
I'm sitting here noshing on some leftover Chinese food while the end credits for The Order: 1886 play in the background, and I'm not quite sure what to say. There's a malaise that settles in about 20 minutes into the game, a "what the hell is going on?
Pros:
- It's a real looker
Cons:
- Too much emphasis on watching over playing
- The shooting that makes up the bulk of the gameplay is dull and uninspired
- Change of pace moments
- particularly stealth
- are poorly executed
- In short: It's just not fun

The Order: 1886 Review
The first time I saw The Order: 1886 , the PlayStation 4 exclusive by Ready at Dawn, I was stunned by the presentation. This was way back at a pre-E3 event in Santa Monica last year. The 19th-century Victorian England-era setting was super crisp.
Pros:
- Easily one the best-looking games ever made
- letterbox format totally works
- Brief
- almost unnoticeable load times
- Story takes itself seriously with solid voice acting
Cons:
- Gameplay is beyond generic
- not fun
- Length of campaign overstays its welcome even at less than 7 hours
- Not much incentive to play it over

The Order: 1886 review
The Order: 1886 is nothing more than a computer program. That may seem an arbitrary statement, but it's simply not applicable to most video games. Not good ones, and certainly not full, AAA narrative experiences. ‘Experiences' is the important word there.
Pros:
- Probably the best-looking console game ever made
Cons:
- Shooting is average at best
- No respect for player involvement
- Takes control away at every opportunity
- Story and characters are unremarkable
- Little will stay with you

From hell.
The Order: 1886 is a torturer and a tease. It promises you a circuitous story populated with near-immortal knights, it promises you exciting encounters with snarling werewolves, it promises you clever weaponry the likes of which you rarely see in video games.
Pros:
- Fantastic voice acting
- Consistent
- stylish visuals
- A couple of really cool weapons to play with
Cons:
- Overlooks the best aspects of its premise in favor of boring storytelling
- Every gameplay element is drab and rote
- Too little of the cool stuff (guns
- werewolves)
- lots of the dull stuff (looking at things
- walking slowly

The Order: 1886 Review
The basic conflict at the heart of is that considerations for a cinematic approach are prioritized above the needs of basic gameplay. Its best aspects are its stunning looks, atmosphere, and style – which are truly fantastic – and entertaining fiction.
Pros:
- Completely Gorgeous
- Fantastic Atmosphere
- Engaging Universe
Cons:
- Quick-time overload
- Sluggish pacing
