PlayStation 4 The Order: 1886 THEORDER1886 review
Quick Take: The Order: 1886 is the first big PS4 exclusive of 2015 and looks right at home on Sony's powerful platform, even with the gameplay not rising to the occasion.
The Order: 1886 Review
I finished The Order: 1886 in 6 hours and 47 minutes. It was a fairly expansive playthrough, during which I wandered off the path as much as I was allowed to. I played it on normal difficulty, so asid- Looks and sounds incredible
- Excellent story and setting
- Satisfying combat
- Short campaign
- Old-fashioned systems
- Very linear
The Order: 1886 Review – Interactive 19th Century Cinema (PS4)
When I was a kid, I remember watching my favorite movies over and over again. Repeatedly. I must have worn out my parents' original VHS tapes of the Star Wars trilogy growing up. Alright, let's be honest, it's not just the kid in me.- Superb cinematic presentation
- The pacing is excellent
- Fun gameplay that makes the experience immersive
- Great story and characters
- The never ending tutorials
- Half-breed battles are boring
- as their AI is terrible
- Story ends abruptly
- as if they lost the last third of the script
The Order: 1886

The Order: 1886 Review – Too Short? Too Linear? So What? Ready at Dawn Delivers a PS4 Must Have
Long before its release, The Order: 1886 fell victim to the court of public opinion. Evidence submitted to the court was based on internet scraps, screenshots, leaked videos and 10 minute demos but it was enough for the court to play judge, jury and in some cases executioner to Ready at Dawn's much...
The Order: 1886 may be Sony's new flagship IP
People have already made up their minds about The Order: 1886. They debate on arbitrary things like speedruns, graphical changes since E3, and whether the game's cinematic nature classifies it as a game. It's going to be hilarious watching those same folks eat their hat.- Absolutely amazing graphical fidelity
- Rock solid framerate
- Beautiful soundtrack and voice work
- Solid cover-based combat
- Tesla's toys are a real treat
- Letterboxing may irritate some
- Occasional odd NPC pathfinding
The Order: 1886
Join the Knights of the Round Table. Fight off half breeds and rogue human organisations. Superb graphics and game world to explore. Use advanced steampunk technology to counter the threat. Available only on PlayStation 4.- Visually impressive – Steampunk London design
- Actual gameplay is minimal – Fight humans more than half-breeds
The Order: 1886 review
Set in an alternate Victorian steampunk era, The Order: 1886 bundles werewolves, Jack the Ripper and Arthurian legend in with a load of wood-handled, high-tech gadgets and empire-era mock-futuristic weaponry.
"Is it a game, movie, or maimed gam-vie as my friend rightly said?"
I am an avid gamer as my readers would have realised by now by the sheer number of my game reviews compared to anything else. And they must be also well acquainted with my tightly structured writing style with proper sub-headings discussing all aspects of a typical game – graphics, storyboard,...- Breathtaking Visuals
- Flawless Technicals
- Weak story
- non-interactive gameplay
