The PlayStation 4 (PS4) has had a year of up and downs in India and it's still to have a monster hit along the lines of last generation's fantastic Uncharted series of games, or The Last of Us.

When you're a development studio that comes up with an alternate history, based in one of the most iconic cities in the world, you best make darn sure that you have some great set pieces in place to make the story believable.
Pros:
- A graphical showcase | One or two really awesome weapons
Cons:
- Absolutely no replay value | Boring and generic | Dull characters

The Order 1886 review: Great Expectations
As inevitably as death and taxes, the euphoria among gamers following the arrival of each new generation of consoles gives way, after a while, to a nagging sense of impatience as we await the arrival of fresh, new types of gameplay.
Pros:
- Looks gorgeous
- deeply atmospheric
- fabulous steampunk gadgets
- weapons and general vibe
- pleasing storyline and characterisations
Cons:
- Far too many quick time events
- cutscene heavy
- third-person shooter gameplay lacklustre compared to its peers
- doesn't make the most of its best ideas

The Order: 1886
As with most triple-A entries today, Ready at Dawn's tale of steampunk-tinged Knights of the Round Table offers an amalgam of different gameplay types; for the most part shallow, but at least pleasantly distracting.

"Stunning but boring"
The game itself looks stunning, and is unlike any other game currently on the market. But unfortunately looks aren't everything. The game runs at an aspect ratio of 2.40:1. So it places black bars at the top and bottom of the screen.

The Order: 1886 ( PlayStation 4)
The Order: 1886 is a beautiful and impressive technical achievement, but it's also chock-full of frustrating control issues. Odd pacing and a less than compelling storyline don't help either.
Pros:
- The Order: 1886 is one of the best looking games around
- Its fantastic dramatic performances are matched with a beautifully realized alternate vision of Victorian London
Cons:
- There are some frustrating issues with The Order's controls and the game's lengthy cutscenes and breaks in the action are jarring

The Order: 1886 PS4 Review
The Order: 1866 is a full price retail game that last 6 hours at best, and it offers zero replay value – that certainly is a problem. The reason I am starting this review with such a statement is that it's but one single complaint of many to level against the game.

The Order: 1886 Review
A decent concept, that has been marketed and presented totally wrong.

The Order: 1886 review
The Order: 1886 is a game that wants to tell the best story ever told. In wanting to achieve that, it sacrifices engaging gameplay for jarring storytelling techniques, never taking advantage of the game's intriguing premise, beautiful world, and fantastic voice-acting.
Pros:
- + The best looking console game of the generation
- + Great voice acting
- + An intriguing premise and great world
Cons:
- + Jarring storytelling techniques
- + Obsession with quick-time events
- + It's a goon-fest
- + Shooting gameplay doesn't fully realise awesomeness of the weapons
