Impossible to play

Played a bit of this game and had to give up because the lighting in the game makes it impossible to see the road at night time and it makes it unplayable.

One of the best racing games of all time

It's very entertaining and fun to play. The developers really put a lot of effort into making this amazing, unique, and detailed game. I totally recommend this game to people who love racing games.

The Crew 2

"So close but so far" defines pretty much everything about The Crew 2 . It's that most frustrating brand of sequel where all the right ideas and elements are in place but never seem to coalesce.

The Crew 2 review – come back later

Ubisoft's open road racer returns to offer even more variety in terms of vehicles and features, but how does it play at launch

The open world map is still very impressive and the handling model for cars is much improved from the first game; Lots of different vehicle types and some impressive visuals

The physics engine is unpredictable and buggy; Rubberband AI is hugely annoying and the multiplayer options are strangely limited; The grind for loot and experience quickly becomes tiresome; Obnoxious presentation

PS4 Review - 'The Crew 2'

Buy The Crew 2 Released a few years ago, The Crew was Ubisoft's attempt at taking on the Need for Speed franchise by giving players an open-world setting to race in with a crew of online friends at your side. The story was pretty terrible, but the racing was decent.

The Crew 2 review

The original game might have gone a little overboard with the whole Fast and Furious-style, crims-turn-good storyline, but there was still plenty there to give The Crew 2’s developers a solid base to carve out a sequel. Get beyond the scaled-down version of the USA you’re driving around, though, and there’s little here that connects the two together. The game world feels hollow and inconsistent. The cars aren’t as free to roam as they once were. The planes take precision and practice that feels at odds with the arcade-style racing. And why is it snowing on the Hollywood sign?! With open-world racing rival Forza Horizon having set the bar, Ubisoft hasn’t done enough at launch to make The Crew 2 stand out. There’s still hope that future updates will add more content and give players more reason to explore, but unless you’re desperate to take that virtual coast-to-coast road trip, you might want to wait and see what the season pass delivers later down the line.

Expansive, Ubisoft-esque USA; Plenty of aerial, marine automotive metal to drive
; Multiplayer integrates a lot smoother now;

Bizarro world weather and immersion-breaking detail; Little to keep you occupied on long road trips; No real multiplayer at launch
;

The Crew 2 Review – Wide Open Racer Squanders Its Potential

I'll admit that The Crew 2 is the first racing game I've picked up in a long time. As such, I wanted a game to get truly excited about, like in the days of Burnout Revenge and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.

Vehicles look and sound fantastic; Lots of customization; Variety of vehicles; Addition of boats and aircrafts

World lacks personality; Voice-acting is just plain bad; Story missing "pull" factor; AI issues

The Crew 2

The Crew 2 attempts to fix the issues that prevented Ivory Tower's first effort from blowing away the competition, such as an expansive but barren world devoid of any real incentive to explore and inconsistent AI, but is it a case of learning from previous mistakes or have Ivory Tower inadvertently...
