The Crew 2 review – come back later

Ubisoft's open road racer returns to offer even more variety in terms of vehicles and features, but how does it play at launch

The open world map is still very impressive and the handling model for cars is much improved from the first game; Lots of different vehicle types and some impressive visuals

The physics engine is unpredictable and buggy; Rubberband AI is hugely annoying and the multiplayer options are strangely limited; The grind for loot and experience quickly becomes tiresome; Obnoxious presentation

Fabulous

I bought this for my Husband to play with the Logitech steering wheel and it did not disappoint. Since buying I have watched all the programs I couldn't when he was moaning that he didn't like that one!

Impossible to play

Played a bit of this game and had to give up because the lighting in the game makes it impossible to see the road at night time and it makes it unplayable.

One of the best racing games of all time

It's very entertaining and fun to play. The developers really put a lot of effort into making this amazing, unique, and detailed game. I totally recommend this game to people who love racing games.

PS4 Review - 'The Crew 2'

Buy The Crew 2 Released a few years ago, The Crew was Ubisoft's attempt at taking on the Need for Speed franchise by giving players an open-world setting to race in with a crew of online friends at your side. The story was pretty terrible, but the racing was decent.

Game Review: The Crew 2

The original Crew was an interesting experiment that merged storytelling with an open-world MMO setting, the likes of which very few in that genre had done. It had your traditional cut-scenes and story missions mixed with an open ended setting that featured the entire setting of USA.

Spectacular Presentation; Innovative Vehicle Switching Mechanic; Good Roster of Vehicles From Big Manufacturers; Vast Open World; Fun Arcade Controls; Fantastic Original Music

Lacks Structure and Meaning; Races Can Feel Repetitive; Might be Too Expensive for Some; No PVP at Launch

Full Speed With The Crew 2 Arcade Racing

The first Crew game was a surprising oddity- a racing game with an explorable open world and a story campaign featuring an undercover cop in one of the more campy storylines this side of Need for Speed.

The Crew 2 – The Verdict

I'd kept low-key tabs on The Crew 2 ahead of release, intrigued by the prospect of switching between cars, boats and planes. It looked fun, and having got my teeth nicely into the first game a few years ago , I was hoping for a similar enjoyable experience.

The Crew 2 Xbox One Review

If The Crew 2 does anything, it seemingly tries its best to cram in as many different types of vehicles as possible, be that on land, sea, or in the air. There really is a vast array of vehicles, and it certainly keeps the game feeling varied as there's the potential to play a huge number of events...
