Bought the Sony ubp-x700 4K/BlueRay player two weeks ago mainly to upscale a large library of B/Ray and dvd's which it certainly does to my satisfaction. Great value for that alone. Liked the very fast disc loading time compared with my 5 year old Panasonic B/Ray recorder good though it has been.

Good up scaling of ordinary DVD's

Big disappointment in the fact this product was advertised as being able to connect to PSN & Sony Entertainment Network enabling me to access my purchased movies but it cannot; I consider this false advertising & unacceptable

I was waiting for a good performance UHD Blu-Ray Player with Dolby Vision and for a reasonable price. This is a great player, although the price is still a bit steep and Dolby Vision support is only "coming soon" (around Summer 2018). I couldn't wait any longer for a price cut, so I took the plunge.

The Sony UBP-X700 Smart 3D 4K UHD HDR has straightforward instructions, is easy to set up and does what it is supposed to do, with a well laid out screen making operating the various functions intuitive and simple. It is also slim enough to fit under most modern TV stands.

I was impressed that I can set up Netflix, iview on the player! Only problem is fiddly remote it's too small

Earlier this year, Sony added a new, lower-priced player to its Ultra HD Blu-ray lineup. The UBP-X700 ($199.99) represents a step down, price-wise, from the $249.99 UBP-X800 that I reviewed last year .

My old Sony Blue Ray player was having trouble reading new Blue Ray discs so needed a new one. The Sony UBPX700 does the job well. Added bonus was it's WiFi connectivity and Netflix App function. Very happy with the product.

I purchased another 4k blu ray player because my original Samsung one won't play a couple of newer disks (even after updating firmware). This player played this disks perfectly and it's speedy compare to 1st generation players (and gets a lot less hot).

This is a very good Blu-ray player with all the top apps like VUDU, AMAZON Prime Video, Netflix Youtube Hulu Crackle and TUBI TV, it also has Pandora and Sirius XM and other apps, It plays real 4k on the apps also and of course the Blu Ray player does too.
