Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4)
Two years into its life cycle and the Sony PlayStation 4 has definitely reached its stride. The eighth-generation game system packs the same impressive power, excellent DualShock 4 controller, and nearly identical interface it had when the system launched, and remains a strong, compelling package.- Attractive, compact design
- DualShock 4 feels much better than the Sixaxis or DualShock 3 controllers before it
- Great streaming support
- Many new features
- Most features require a PlayStation Network connection
- Non-free-to-play multiplayer requires a PS Plus subscription
- DualShock 4 lightbar can't be turned off
Heart of gaming
In last 5 years the Sony have build just a simple gaming consol which is quit not satisfaction for gamer like me. But after release of Sony Playstation its just enters in a whole new era of gaming and I really like enjoying it.
PlayStation 4 game console review
It's huge question: Should you buy the new PlayStation 4? The short answer: Yes, definitely. But maybe not quite yet. Let's take a deeper look. The PS4 is a more compact console than the towering PS3. It's Sony's best ever, full of thoughtful improvements. But $400 is a lot of money to spend.- Amazing controller
- social media functions
- better graphics
- Needs more exclusive, must-have games
- won't play PS3 games
PlayStation 4 review: fast, powerful, worth it
Sony's fourth PlayStation console is fast, sleek and powerful. Its new DualShock gamepad is the best Sony's ever made. And the console is just getting started. The DualShock 4 is everything gamers wanted from Sony's next gamepad.- Fast
- Powerful
- Great gamepad
- Beautiful design
- Dramatic improvement over PS3 gamepad
- Clickable touchpad
- The best triggers on any gamepad
- Short gamepad battery life
- Weak game lineup at launch
- Terrible battery life
- Analog stick coating isn't grippy enough
Sony PS4
Sony has ignored its rival's attempts to take over the living room, as Microsoft integrates media services such as television into the Xbox One. Instead, the Japanese giant plans to focus the PlayStation 4's abilities on pure gaming.
PlayStation 4 review
The downside of it having an internal power supply is that the PS4 does run hot, pumping out air warm enough to cook marshmallows. One can't help but wonder if this has anything to do with the initial wave of faults in the US, though that's just speculation.
Hardware Review - 'PlayStation 4'
PS4 redefines rich and immersive gameplay with powerful graphics and speed, intelligent personalization, deeply integrated social capabilities, and innovative second-screen features, all combined with cloud technology.
My Playstation 4 Review
I recommend the ps4 because of its many features and also it's hardware is superior to the other next generation consoles. And we must not forget its $100 cheaper.- The more powerful hardware of Next Gen Systems. The Ustream feature is pretty fun
- 1st generation launch titles are not that impressive
PS4 vs Xbox One comparison review
There's not much between the two, but if we had to pick a winner, we'd give it to the PS4. Not only does it edge the Xbox One on sheer graphical horsepower, it also has virtual reality support, and a better library of current and upcoming exclusive titles.
