Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G SAL-70200G review by slawrencephoto
I would recommend this lens to anyone. I traded my 70-300G for this lens and although I miss the extra 100mm the image quality more than makes up for it.

Incredible lens
Hoard all your nickels, dimes, and quarters. Do everything necessary to get this lens. You simply get what you pay for and this lens is worth the expense. The first picture I snapped with this lens on my a77 made my jaw hit the ground.

Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G SAL-70200G
Image Quality: This is truly the best 70-200 lens on the market. The images that it produces are worthy of the G moniker in every way. I couple it to the A700 and focus is fast and accurate. Images are sharp across the entire f range and focal length.

The build quality of the lens is exceptional. The lens body is obviously made of metal and both the focus and zoom control rings feel tight and smooth to handle. Typical for most Sony lenses the fluted rubber rings offer lots of grip but they have an inevitable tendency to collect dust in no time.

Brilliant lens
This lens is superb. Great build quality and fantastic images. Very smooth focus when used with my A99. Well worth the money.
