Classic mics necessary for any mic locker. Have found SM57 great in studio for instruments, SM58 great in studio for background vocals. SM58 great live - road warrior. SM57 very versatile mic. Stands and cables are nice extras and will hold up if not abused.

Make your speaker look Presidential

I bought two A2WS-BK Black Foam Locking Windscreens for my SM57s in order to add an impressive 'Presidential' look to the podium when I run sound for a speaker. They also come in handy when I get a request from some vocalists who prefer singing on a Shure 57 over the standard Shure 58.

Great value for money

Solid Mic

While not being of high end class, the mic does it's job, and it does it well.
Pros:
  • Highs and mids sound great Natural
  • warm feel great for string instruments durable cardioid patterned
Cons:
  • not good for drum recording can get a little messy on the low end
