Great value for money
After getting advice from sound technician friends and many musicians who all choice Shure as a favourite brand for microphones, we decided to invest in a couple of SM57's as part of our live events PA system setup.

Make your speaker look Presidential
I bought two A2WS-BK Black Foam Locking Windscreens for my SM57s in order to add an impressive 'Presidential' look to the podium when I run sound for a speaker. They also come in handy when I get a request from some vocalists who prefer singing on a Shure 57 over the standard Shure 58.

Classic mics necessary for any mic locker. Have found SM57 great in studio for instruments, SM58 great in studio for background vocals. SM58 great live - road warrior. SM57 very versatile mic. Stands and cables are nice extras and will hold up if not abused.
Pros:
- Pros
- Great Starter Studio Set
- Sm57 Great For Studio Mic
- Sm58 Great All-around Mic
- Stands And Cables A Bonus

Shure SM57 review
If you're in the market for an instrumental microphone, the Shure SM57 is a great jumping-off point. For $100, you're getting a die-cast steel mic with an integrated pneumatic shock mount for countering vibration-induced movement.
Pros:
- No phantom power required
- Die-cast steel construction
- Great off-axis noise reduction
Cons:
- Cost
