I'm continually amazed by Samsung's rise to power in the SSD space. If you compare their market dominating products today to what we were reviewing from Samsung just a few years ago you'd assume they came from a different company.

I gladly spent more on a samsung ssd which has much lower failure rate than cheaper alternatives. And nearly as fast/reliable as much more expensive intel ssds.

Great drive for the money. The drive doesn't come with a mounting bracket or enclousre for installing into a desktop, would recommend either Item IM1L39979 or item IM1TY0016. preferring the latter one.

Samsung SSD 840 EVO for Desktop PC Upgrade , says it all. I have a Home built PC. After installing this drive all the stats have come up to the maximum . The installation was a breeze, the enclosed software, Data Migration and Magician work perfectly.

Solid state drives are almost entirely unlike buses. And yet we've been waiting for our 2.5-inch SSDs to hit the 1TB mark for years and now two come along, pretty much at the same time.

With the Samsung Rapid Mode enabled this SSD performs like a champ! I had to use the Samsung Performance restoration tool though to stop performance degredation (known issue). You may need to check your firmware and use the tool if needed. It's a one-time operation that went without a hitch

Previous to me installing this Samsung 840 Evo 250GB, I had a Corsair Force 3 128GB which used to boot to the desktop in just under 25 seconds, with this Evo its booting to the desktop in 15 seconds flat. Great SSD great Value.

Purchased from Amazon, for $190NZD. Samsung's RAPID software allows caching of some data automatically, giving insane boosts in benchmarks. But otherwise, it's a very good SSD at a very good price point from the right place.

This is best for your laptop or PC if you are looking for update to make it faster and better. Using it from good long time now, working as expected. And not to mention, got it at most competitive price here.
