I am reviewing this item after a decent time of a constant use and can confirm that it works great, not a glitch. Something I can surely have my trust in and would definitely recommend. Good price and quality. Would recommend.

I installed a Samsung SSD drive to replace a hard drive that crashed in an core duo laptop. Drive was simple to install, and with the software on CD, was able to quickly configure the drive. Bootup from shutdown was a quick 30 seconds - instead of over a minute with the older drive.
This is a very good SSD, bought it sometime last year and hasn't failed me. The Operating System boot time is very fast and only takes a few seconds.
It works. I had problems cloning my old drive due to bad sectors. I bought the software Spinrite V6.0 to fix my old drive, and was able clone it afterwards.
The software Samsung included made the transfer of the Windows 8 operating system a piece-of-cake. My machine now boots well under 10 seconds, and applications start up nice and fast. The magician software is worth starting up too as it has a some status and tuning capability.
Great buy, currently the best value for money for a 1TB SSD. The included software; Samsung Magician is amazing as well, providing OS optimisation, TRIM and RAPID mode among others.
I have owned a lot of SSDs from my first Corsair R120 which cost over $400 at the time through OCZs, Sandisks & Plextors...RAID configurations and a PCI-E SSD, however I have been very happy with my 512 GB Samsung 840 PRO.
RAPID mode; 7mm wide; high capacity (1 TB) available
IOPS a little low in comparison
I'm using this as my primary drive on my
Obviously, it's size and space; 1tb that's smaller than the palm of your hand; It'll be a while before a larger size hits the market so this should be top-of-the-line for some time
Price; Ouch! But love it
Judging by its design features, the Samsung 840 EVO is something in between Samsung's 840 Pro and 840 models - a top-performance SSD with inexpensive TLC NAND flash memory. This description is rather superficial, though.
There is no doubt that when Samsung look to take over a market they can get things really right and there is no better example than how well their Galaxy range of smartphones is doing in an ever more crowded mobile market.
