This is my latest Nikkor purchase of a long line of Nikon products since my first Nikon F in 1964. As one would expect from a lens with these specifications (Nikkor, F2.8G, ED, N) this lens affords fast and accurate focusing, excellent Depth-O-Field control, and incredible sharpness; edge to edge.
I bought this lens along with my Nikon D800 since I needed a FX lens in this range of focal lengths. Although it is missing the VR that the newer version had, I found that buying this lens slightly used was of great value to me.
Great glass! Fast and quiet. Worth every dollar! You'll see things in a different way, this lens makes things like composition easier, subject more important than hardware. Makes you shoot better....
Clear, bright, fast; You'll not worry about gear
Just purchased to compliment my D850. This lens is just stunning.Pro quality build and very sharp. Highly recommended for professional work or amateur.
Everything seemed to be in good working order so far, I was a little disappointed that it was the older version. I am still working fulltime so I have had extra time to fully investigate.
The best performance of this range

I ordered this lens but returned it.. It's a brand new lens but it's gray market and overstock doesn't state that on web page... Customers need to be notified that lens isn't a us model meaning no warranty coverage from Nikon...
This is the first pro level lens I have purchased for my Nikon D810 and what a lens. The results are excellent, the range just right for a standard zoom and the f2.8 aperture pulls in a lot of light. For anyone moving up to the better Nikon lenses it is the ideal starting point.
