Think hard! This unit NEEDS SERIOUS WORK!!

On paper this is by far the best router.Period; But paper isn't life, so now after 12 months of owning this router I am ready to pass along my insights

Constant dropping wifi connection

The Nighthawk X10 WiFi router is by far and away the most technically advanced home Wi-Fi router I've had the pleasure of testing, with a future-proof feature set and capabilities normally reserved for enterprise-grade equipment.

Bought this router as it has very good specifications. I set it up and after a few hours was dropping the WiFi signal There is a firmware bug with access control going blank.I have returned for another product.

Good product, easy to setup. Wifi is not better than my previous nighthawk x6 and not likely to be materially better than any ac3200 class router with MU-MIMO but has greater range of connectivity options which is why I bought it.

Updated: 2/10/2017 - Since we initially launched this article, Netgear assisted with resolving a technical issue we were experiencing with 802.11ad connectivity and performance with the Nighthawk X10 router we had in for testing.

Netgear Nighthawk X10: The fastest router money can buy, but it has no integrated ADSL modem and it's very, very expensive

Incredibly quick; Powerful enough to run a Plex Server on its own; Six Gigabit Ethernet ports

Very expensive; Hugely pricey; Enormously costly

Even so, as long as you don't plan on accessing your router settings from your smartphone on a daily occasion, this router is an absolute monster when it comes to producing some of the fastest speeds we've seen on any networking device to date.
