The Short Version: MGS1 is sorely missed, but there's no denying this should be on everyone's shopping list. Older players will enjoy the nostalgia in HD and newcomers can get in on the ground floor to a series that stills shows more innovation throughout than most modern titles you'd care to name.

The Metal Gear series was supposed to have concluded in Guns of the Patriots, but by now you should know better when it comes to Hideo Kojima. While we're waiting to see what the future holds for Snake, Konami's giving us a chance to brush up on history with Metal Gear Solid HD collection.

Every single game in this collection is worth 10/10 score and now it's on one disc, in HD, in 60 fps and in the best possible edition. If you never played Metal Gear games before, you should buy it.

The dated graphics can't stop a great storyline from being great.

Choosing a favorite Metal Gear Solid is like choosing a favorite child. They may not be perfect and they may frustrate you with the choices they've made, but in the end you still have to love all of them. This collection, like any family, has a diversity of personalities.

Without question, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is quite the package. Arguably, MGS2 and MGS3 are some of the PS2's finest titles with Peace Walker standing as one of the highest quality titles on Playstation's portable.

It was only a matter of time before Konami jumped on the HD remaster bandwagon started this generation by Sony with God of War Collection , and Konami picked the best candidate to go first. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is a compilation no Metal Gear Solid fan should miss.

The Metal Gear series is one of the most divisive in gaming. Many love it for its melodramatic story, larger-than-life characters, excruciatingly long cutscenes, and deep, stealth gameplay. Others hate it for the very same reasons. Yet it can't be argued that the series isn't bold.

The Metal Gear series has long been one of my favorites since its inception when it first appeared on the NES. As a Metal Gear Solid fan Konami's recently released Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is possibly the best HD re-mastered series of games I could ask for.
