The Metal Gear series is one of the most divisive in gaming. Many love it for its melodramatic story, larger-than-life characters, excruciatingly long cutscenes, and deep, stealth gameplay. Others hate it for the very same reasons. Yet it can't be argued that the series isn't bold.
Superb: A hallmark of excellence. There may be flaws, but they are negligible and won't cause massive damage to what is a supreme title.

Until Metal Gear Solid came along, sneaking about was hardly commonplace in gaming. The release of the game back in 1998 was very highly anticipated, and the game proved to be something very different with its sneaky gameplay and detailed storyline.
Metal Gear Solid: Confliction . Not something I expected as the game booted up for the first time; but it's there – an uneasy blend of rose-tinted muscle memory and a jarring array of old fashioned, vastly outdated controls.
