Great remote. Lost my Onkyo remote and this one worked great! Setup so my wife can just press button to watch tv, etc. Easy setup too................. Easy use!
It's the first Universal Remote that I bought and very pleased to have everything on one remote, having had three different remotes for TV, soundbar, and BluRay. It was easy to set up - actually you run a setup programme that does all the work.
Really works well and you can customise setting as required. Its Really helpful for an entire home entertainment system. You dont have to keep switching between devices As you can decide which aspect of which system you control. it really easy to set up as well
I made this CNET account just to join the pile-on. This remote is such unabashed garbage that it's clear it only exists to show users the potential of a smart remote and urge them to upgrade to something that costs more. It has had sync issues 9/10 times.
It didn't give me a communicable disease
Everything else
Does what it says on the tin!!!! Easy to set up.....Easy to use; Perfect for everyday use.......in my case, 4 different combinations of AV equipment. One touch and it's all systems go!........and stop!
Can't cope with some of the functions specific to a smart TV; Have to use the amp remote control to access set up functions; In fairness, I have not consulted logitec (who have a UK help Line) about the above
I've been using a Harmony 650 for my living room setup for ~5 years now. Definitely a great remote for the money. Once it's set up (which Harmony's software makes into a pretty easy task - no need to have pages of notes to write manual scripts!), it's incredibly user-friendly.
After several hours of futzing with the MyHarmony software, I finally got my remote to a place I'm happy with. The remote hardware itself is great and more responsive than the Harmony 550 that this replaced.
As with all Harmony products I've used, the hardware is excellent; Durable, responsive and ergonomic
I didn't think it was possible for Logitech to make a piece of software any worse than their old Harmony Remote Software 7; But as much of a pain it was to use, it's got nothing on the MyHarmony application; Holy crap is that thing a steaming pile of crap.
Succeeding the One The current generation of Harmony remotes was more or less ushered in by the Harmony One back in early 2008, fitting in toward the higher end of the product line (but below the big-screen Harmony 1100 ) by offering a touchscreen and rechargeable batteries.
Intuitive design(Relatively) affordableExtensive device database
Five device capDimly illuminated buttonsNo recharging circuitry
After dealing with separate remotes for TV, Surround System, DVD Player, PlayStation, and Direct TV HD box, I gave this "All in One" the once over and thought, "What the heck... Gotta be better than 5 separate remotes." "WOW! HOLY COW! ARE YOU KIDDING!!?
Bought this so that I had a remote that would work with MySkyHDi and IR extenders, but have found that it does so much more! The one-touch activity buttons were so easy to program, really exceeding my expectations.
