Google Pixel 4 XL Review

The Google Pixel 4 XL delivers on the promises set out by Google at the phone’s launch event, with a beautiful new 90Hz display, the fastest and most robust Google Assistant experience ever, plus impressive and eye-catching camera abilities from its new dual-sensor setup. However, everything that the Pixel 4 XL brings to the table each comes with a notable caveat that you’ll have to consider before you make the decision to live with it.

Google Pixel 4 XL Review

With the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, Google looks as though it's drifted further from the Pixel's original intent by producing two devices that, although capable, feel out of touch with both their Android competition and Apple's latest iOS-powered hardware

The Pixel 4 Is a Fantastic Phone, Just Not Our Favorite

For once, Google’s latest phone falls short. Its predecessor is just as good—and cheaper.
Pros:
  • Class-leading camera with great night shots. Face unlock works better than any other Android phone. Gets regular software and security updates. Beautiful 90-Hz OLED display and powerful chipset. Awesome new audio transcription features.
Cons:
  • Battery performance is manageable, but the phone may die before bedtime if you have a particularly long night. Waterproof but not dirtproof. No headphone jack. $799 base model has only 64 GB and lacks a MicroSD card slot.
