Of GoPro's recent releases, it's the Hero 7 Black that's the flagship model and the one hat will put the GoPro name back in the spotlight.
The biggest talking point is the Hypersmooth feature, one of the more revolutionary breakthroughs in the company's history. GoPro call it "the best in-camera video stabilisation in any camera, ever” and when you see 4K/60fps mode footage using the Hypersmooth feature, it is hard to argue against that claim.

The Hero 7 Black is it is the first GoPro capable of livestreaming to sites like Facebook, Vimeo and YouTube, with more sites due to come online.
The SuperPhoto feature is GoPro’s response to intelligent auto modes on smartphones which apply the right camera settings by automatically recognising certain scenes. It’s made even easier thanks to Voice Control, which responds to 16 different commands including "GoPro, take a photo".
That's the challenge laid down by GoPro. They are certainly talking up the toughness of the Hero 7 Black; it's a device that can handle the rough and tumble of the intense action its capturing, while it is waterproof down to an impressive 10 metres.

We purchased this for our son to take on holiday to the Reef. Cool little camera. You need to buy a few things to really get it going i.e. SD Card, waterproof case, tripod, extra battery, bag etc. Works really well and we captured some special moments. Just note that it is very temperamental, stalled at the worst of times i.e. froze and we had to take the battery out and turn back on. It does run out of battery super quick so you do need to take a spare with you all the time. All in all it is a great start for a first GoPro purchase, but I probably should have got a later model.
I love the quality of photos and videos of the gopro hero 7. You won'tt miss a moment with it. Great piece of equipment to have when you are doing any activity

It's only a relatively small step forward from its predecessor, but the Hero 7 Black's excellent video quality, stabilisation, usability and range of mounts make it the best all-round action cam you can buy.

A total steal on a cracking action camera
A frustrated mix of brilliance and awkwardness. It takes amazing videos and the image stabilisation is fantastic. It also gets worryingly hot, the software is......a bit buggy would describe it.....and of course, the self admitted short battery life is frustrating.
It kept freezing and I had to pull the battery out to turn it off and I made an enquire online but no one got back to me
