I've purchased two of these printers in 3 years and both printers have had exactly the same issue with the fuser unit after exactly 1 year (out of warranty of course). After about 1 year, the printed pages started to become slightly blurry. The blurring happens underneath whatever I am printing.

I now have two of these, one in my classroom and the other in my office. They print good and are fairly fast. Two problems - first page will have toner on it and there is a thin line of toner on the edges of many of the pages. Oh I guess there are three problems - it is loud!

I bought one of these through buy.com and received it about 10 days later. I usually have a great experience with buy.com but this printer always printed a sloppy first page where the toner was speckled and smeared; second copy was fine, but this happened each and every time you printed.

The print quality and speed is excellent. The printer seems well built and has had no hiccups with paper handling. This printer only gets a 3-star review because I had a terrible experience with Brother's support team.
