Two weeks ago I purchased this UPS for a computer and one monitor. I also downloaded the PowerChute software from the APC.com website. At first, it said the estimated battery time was 200 minutes. I then ran a couple of tests on the UPS by turning off the power bar it was plugged into.

I thought that a 550VAR UPS would have been sufficient for my purposes, but the UPS would trip as soon as power was removed from the wall. Some soft start technology would have helped with my problem (running a VERY small water pump).

not enough power output

I had to buy this because a fuse vaporized when the recharging transformer blew open. Shame on APC for being so stingey to return the favor I will be not be buying a part from them but from digikey or futurlec.

Excellent stand by power source for the money. Surge protection on the 350 model saved a computer system and phone. It took the hit and cooked the battery but all items pluged in are working today.

Seems Good, Needs more space between the 110V AC recepticals

We are a small non-profit, and we need UPS support for our computer systems as we're a medical and dental clinic. These battery back-ups support a computer and two monitors perfectly. They do exactly what we need them to do.

Staples had the best price and free delivery on this item. The UPS is a solid and reliable performer. The is the 8th model from the Back-UPS family I've had over the years and none have disappointed.

Size and design of equipment is good. Software is easy to install

Overall a well made product with some limitations such as battery and manufacturer support. I have an identical unit several years old that does not work but might if there was more information available.

Simple to setup and use; Powerchute will do a managed shutdown of computer in case of power failure.Not expensive for home use UPS

I finally broke down and upgraded my UPS. I had a very good UPS from APC, but since I now use Mac OS 10.8.5, I could not make use of the old UPS. The old UPS did not have a usb port. Well, I did buy it new in 2003 and it worked fine with the older Mac OS 9.x.
