Simply glorious. It works perfectly, has saved me several times and is as close to plug'n'play as can be imagined. Compact but with 8 power sockets and protection for modems, it sits under the desk and just works.

I thought that a 550VAR UPS would have been sufficient for my purposes, but the UPS would trip as soon as power was removed from the wall. Some soft start technology would have helped with my problem (running a VERY small water pump).

not enough power output

I won't buy anything but an ACP surge product. About 18 months ago had a lightning strike take out our power supply, satellite receiver and new HD TV set. Took about 3 months to get the check, but no questions asked, the power supply was replaced almost immediately and sent a check for the TV.

The outlets are little tight when plugging/unplugging. That's kind of a good thing though, so that yanking a cord by accident doesn't unplug anything.

I purchased this for my high end gaming computer. I did a test and even with a 750w Power Supply and dual video cards, the BE550G took 4 minutes to hit 50% battery life, which is more than sufficient for me to shut down.

Adequate Power; Easy To Set Up; Excelent value

I ordered this for my new computer, and we had a power flicker just a few hours after I set it up! It worked perfectly. There is software included that will let you check the status of the battery and tell the unit what to do if it loses power (such as turn off the computer). Very useful!

I bought this to replace a similar product from the same maker that gave some trouble after 8 years of good service. I'm happy with electrical or electronic equipment that lasts beyond 5 years. All APC products that I have exceeded that. I have a larger unit for my multi drive, dual monitor system.

Excellent stand by power source for the money. Surge protection on the 350 model saved a computer system and phone. It took the hit and cooked the battery but all items pluged in are working today.
