My new Adata SSD is awesome. Purchased to upgrade my old (failed) laptop drive, and is now fast, stable, and error free. Higly Recommended.
excellent
Well first of all I bought this drive for my brother after he managed to "burn" the last six HDD's in about two years time and was now getting crazy (him and everybody else in the house) because of the laptop slowness.
Perfectly good little SSD, it's never going to be the fastest SSD at this price point but still a worthy upgrade.
For my install I did need to purchase the hard drive adapter to fit the 3.5" bay.
This drive was purchased for a small office server; I wanted lower power consumption and low noise; This drive has done it's job so far; No issues with install or the motherboard finding it
No cons as of yet; There haven't been any hiccups at all
Compared this with M550 and bought this to try and very happy with it. I get right to work as soon as I sign-in instead of waiting several seconds, like I used to. The included cloning software made migration, without having to re-install, relatively easy.
It seems like the solid state drive market is booming right now. Many manufacturers are offering a
– Solid read speed; – Price; – 2 adapters included; – Backup software included
– Slower write speeds than other drives out there; – Marketing of the drive can be misleading
The ADATA SP920SS 256GB doesn't really bring any special performance when compared to other SSDs, especially with Samsung 840 Pro. There are certain workloads where the drive performs nicely, but in many tests its mediocre for an SSD.
£111.65inc. VAT ( At time of review ) It's been a while since we last reviewed an ADATA product so when we were asked to take a look at their new Premier Pro series drive we were very enthusiastic.
+ Great all-round package; + Fast Write speed; + Good Price
