It seems like the solid state drive market is booming right now. Many manufacturers are offering a

At the start of the review is asked what is the significance of this SSD release and even though this is not the first time we have seen synchronous NAND used in the design of a SSD, what ADATA have done with the drive as a whole is far more important and thus worth shouting about.

Write performance levels slightly lower than other drives at this level

The ADATA SP920SS 256GB doesn't really bring any special performance when compared to other SSDs, especially with Samsung 840 Pro. There are certain workloads where the drive performs nicely, but in many tests its mediocre for an SSD.

ADATA has definitely proven that they are a force to be reckoned with so far this year. We first checked in with them at CES, where we got to see their newly coloured DRAM modules, wireless device charging technology, as well as their line up of new solid state drives.

Before we weigh in with our final verdict, we'll indulge a couple of our famous value scatter plots. These plots use an overall performance score derived by comparing how each drive stacks up against a common baseline.

I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the ADATA SP920 Series. While the smaller capacities suffer from some write speed limiting, the whole line performs extremely well in reads, and the larger capacity points give the best competition out there a run for their money.

The ADATA Premiere Pro SP920 drive is a very reasonably priced mainstream SSD that really shines at larger capacities.

Compared this with M550 and bought this to try and very happy with it. I get right to work as soon as I sign-in instead of waiting several seconds, like I used to. The included cloning software made migration, without having to re-install, relatively easy.

Well first of all I bought this drive for my brother after he managed to "burn" the last six HDD's in about two years time and was now getting crazy (him and everybody else in the house) because of the laptop slowness.
