I use this to manually dump files like photos and large documents that I don't use anymore from my mac to clear up space. It was a great price and does its job. I carry it in the amazonbasics hard case and it feels safe and barely takes up any space in my backpack.

I bought this to replace an old external hard-drive that I had with my old Sony laptop that didn't work with my Macbook Pro. I have to say I am very pleased! Just plug in and go! It's very easy to use and the small size makes it easy to carry when travelling.

This product is very well built I have probably a dozen of these drives and they have never caused me any problems. Always look for this drive when I go to get more drives to use.

The only thing I can say is that when I hooked up the hard drive to my laptop, it only showed abou 93 GB of info available and not 1TB. I would have appreciated not having less than what I thought I was purchasing. So far everything else seems to be working fine.

It comes well packaged and very neat! The little carry bag for it is great for keeping it scratch free. Definitely would recommend buying this for anything, 1Tb is a steal at this price for a good brand!

Replaced an older WD My Book external hard drive, which required an AC adapter and was noticably louder with its churning sound. This new unit is the size of a deck of cards and it's silent. Runs off the USB port so no AC plug is necessary.

I have long awaited a hard drive to purchase that is sleek, affordable and an excellent product. It was easy to find directions online (they provide the link to their product manual in the packaging). My passport is reliable and most importantly, helped free up much needed space on my computer.

If you want a speedy, compact external drive with an ample warranty and excellent backup software, My Passport Ultra is a good option. The two-tone plastic shell is our only big complaint.

I bought this WD passport 1T 1 week ago and have been using it intensively and daily. I've already transferred more than 400GB info as a back-up. Honestly say, I was surprised when I saw the speed of transfer via usb 3. I had tried to plug it into the usb 2 in my comp.
