Perfect for small networks

.....except when a client of mine was struck by lightning. But Netgear quickly came to the rescue and shipped a new unit out overnight. Previously, I had been a DLink fanboi for all small business networking products.

Price is great; Warranty is outstanding; Does what its supposed to without whining or needing constant reboots

Nothing; Purchased at least 40 of these over the past few years and never had an issue....

Just what was need, when needed.

A recent power surge knocked out the switch in that position on the plant floor. This switch had all the features needed and ALSO available at the local store. The store staff was very helpful enabling me to get verification from the packaging the the switch could be on rack mounted before coming...

Installed easily

This replaced a 15 year old 10/100 switch that our server rack had long since outgrown. The rack mounting bracket fit perfectly into our rack and we swapped out all the network cables with only a few seconds of downtime. Everything was able to auto-negotiate gigabit speeds with no problem at all.

There appears to be two diffrent units when it comes to port configurations: 6 6 6 6 Port configuration OR 4 4 4 4 4 4 Port configuration I don't think thers a difference. Just wanted to point that out. Overall, if you need this high end a solution with this many ports.

48 GIGABIT of full speed high bandwidth networking performence, doesn't even show signs of use in my situtation; doesn't complain one bit

i pretty sure you could run this thing on the equator and it would not overheat; it's cold to the touch
