Perfect for small networks

.....except when a client of mine was struck by lightning. But Netgear quickly came to the rescue and shipped a new unit out overnight. Previously, I had been a DLink fanboi for all small business networking products.

Price is great; Warranty is outstanding; Does what its supposed to without whining or needing constant reboots

Nothing; Purchased at least 40 of these over the past few years and never had an issue....

Good for the price

Not much to comment this is an unmanaged plug and play 24 port L2 switch...performance appears to be good, only thing I do not like is that the activity light is behind the port number plate so it is difficult to visually see if there is activity on the port...other than that good for the money.

NETGEAR ProSAFE 24-Port Gigabit Ethernet Rackmount Switch (JGS524NA) works flawlessly

We just switched from ATT to Marshall Fibernet and this Switch made the change go very easily.

Just what was need, when needed.

A recent power surge knocked out the switch in that position on the plant floor. This switch had all the features needed and ALSO available at the local store. The store staff was very helpful enabling me to get verification from the packaging the the switch could be on rack mounted before coming...

Well, noisy cooling fans

My office has used Netgear ethernet switches for a long time. They were generally reliable. The only failure one of them had was a cooling fan failure. Early Fast ethernet (100Mbps) model has two small cooling fans and they stopped working.

Solid construction; Good brand reliability; Reasonable price

Great quality for adding extra items to a router

Bought a few of these now. Quality item and easy to use. If you have a single LAN cable and wasnt to add 4 items to the internet you just use these. Needs a power supply near by and adapter is suplied. Easier and more reliable than wifi we have found and enables all those extra items to connect.

"Excellent for your managed network solution"

Really good switch this is Easy to setup in the hyper terminal with the serial cable , must make sure you have a machine with a serial port as quite afew machines dont have them any more.

Monitor; Cap Bandwidth; Security and Fairly easy setup
