A full table of gigabit. Get your CAT6 cable ready for some blazing fast throughput. Good quality switch. Put it in the rack!
My office has used Netgear ethernet switches for a long time. They were generally reliable. The only failure one of them had was a cooling fan failure. Early Fast ethernet (100Mbps) model has two small cooling fans and they stopped working.
Solid construction; Good brand reliability; Reasonable price
Noisy cooling fans
Really good switch this is Easy to setup in the hyper terminal with the serial cable , must make sure you have a machine with a serial port as quite afew machines dont have them any more.
Monitor; Cap Bandwidth; Security and Fairly easy setup
None i have come across
There appears to be two diffrent units when it comes to port configurations: 6 6 6 6 Port configuration OR 4 4 4 4 4 4 Port configuration I don't think thers a difference. Just wanted to point that out. Overall, if you need this high end a solution with this many ports.
48 GIGABIT of full speed high bandwidth networking performence, doesn't even show signs of use in my situtation; doesn't complain one bit
i pretty sure you could run this thing on the equator and it would not overheat; it's cold to the touch
Great Product and well priced. Good value for small businesses..
This switch is awesome straight out of the box. By offering so many ports we were able to eliminate a switch..
No complaints. Using the switch for home use along with a FreeNAS server and the throughput from the switch is excellent. The item was sold by Cloudtail and in perfect original sealed pack.
Small business, less than 15 employees. To replace an older switch. Plug and play. Happy with it.
Quality construction gives a solid feel and the weight of the metal case means that, even if you are using cat6 cables with a thick spline, the switch will never fail to sit flush on the the supporting surface (can be an issue with plasticy cheap switches).
.....except when a client of mine was struck by lightning. But Netgear quickly came to the rescue and shipped a new unit out overnight. Previously, I had been a DLink fanboi for all small business networking products.
Price is great; Warranty is outstanding; Does what its supposed to without whining or needing constant reboots
Nothing; Purchased at least 40 of these over the past few years and never had an issue....
