Darkstar One is a very odd addition to the Xbox 360 roster. For one, it's not an FPS, a racer or a hack and slasher, which puts it in a very exclusive club these days. Also, it's a straight port of a relatively obscure space-combat game that first appeared on the PC back in 2006.

This is the worse game ive ever played!! Granted the cut scenes graphics are epic and cinematic but game play lets it down!! Ship is very hard to control, upgrades are slow and confusing, alot of travelling not much action.....i could be here all day simply awful, just awful......

DarkStar One: Broken Alliance is basically a rehashed concept taken from the Xbox series. It is a game where the main character has free roam over a huge galaxy and can trade, rob, and kill to earn credits.

Originally released on PC four years ago Darkstar One has taken its sweet time to come to console. Has it been worth the wait?

You remember Elite , right? How about Frontier , X3 , Freespace , Homeworld , Starlancer or I-War ? If the answer's no, then the odds are good that this console port of Darkstar One will be a considerable breath of fresh air, and something definitely worth checking out if you're bored of Shooter...

ok i bought this one thinking it was a sequel to the original i played on pc which is awesome by the way. but they just changed the name slightly and stuck the same game on the 360.

The story, game play and screen shots all seem a lot like the Freelancer game for the PC which is not a bad thing because Freelancer was a very great game.
