Apple iPhone X review: A new beginning for the next iPhone

Apple has done it again - changed the way people use the phone. While the first time it was where one ‘touches the software', this time where ‘no one touches the hardware' - Thanks to FaceID, you don't touch the phone to authenticate yourself.

iPhone X review

The iPhone X was a huge gamble from Apple, yet one that really paid off six months into our testing. Losing the home button and altering the design was a dangerous move, but one that was sorely needed after years of similarity and the premium design, extra power, all-screen front mix together to...

Great screen; Premium; strong design; TrueDepth camera is powerful

The most expensive flagship phone around; Metal rim can scuff without case

iPhone X review

The iPhone X comes with a number of quirks, but there's nothing you can't simply get used to and we're sure Apple will bring fixes and improvements to iron things out.

Apple iPhone X review: This iPhone XS predecessor is still a contender

Editors' note, April 22, 2020: Read our iPhone SE 2020 review. Original story follows.

iPhone X remains a winning evolution of the iPhone, and is worth a look -- if you can still find it on sale.

The iPhone X delivers a great blend of handheld comfort and a big, gorgeous 5.8-inch OLED screen; The rear-facing telephoto camera outshoots the iPhone 8 Plus in low light, and the front-facing camera snaps impressive portrait mode selfies; Face ID generally works fine.

The iPhone X is harder to get following the release of the iPhone XS; The all-glass body means a case and an insurance plan are musts; Shorter battery life than iPhone 8 Plus.

iPhone X Review: All Your Questions Answered

The iPhone X is a bold step forward in terms of design and capabilities with its edge-to-edge display, TrueDepth camera and Face ID, but there's also a learning curve.

Gorgeous design; Superior OLED Display; Excellent cameras; including Portrait mode selfies; Blazing A11 Bionic processor; Very good battery life; Animoji show potential of TrueDepth cam

New gestures require learning curve; Fast wired charging costs extra; Face ID not as fast as Touch ID

Apple iPhone X review: This gorgeous, future-proof iPhone still needs some refining

This year's iPhone event was all about the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. So to celebrate that, Apple had a brand new phone in the form of the iPhone X (pronounced as iPhone Ten).

The iPhone X is a shiny new chapter in the history of Apple iPhone

Class leading performance; Gorgeous OLED screen; Excellent design and premium finish; Innovative Face ID tech; Good all round imaging capabilities

Very expensive; Battery-life should have been better; Camera still not the best
