Apple iPhone 8 Plus review: Still a powerful alternative
Although higher-end iPhones are now available, the iPhone 8 Plus remains a desirable large-screen device especially if you want to retain the Home button. It delivers a faster experience in an improved shell over previous Touch ID iPhones.
Pros:
- Power and speed that still impresses
- Wireless charging
- Fast charging
- Great cameras when used properly
Cons:
- Still very large
- Dated design
- Portrait Lighting can be hit and miss
- Glass breaks easily

Apple iPhone 8 Plus Review
It keeps the same, ageing design of yesteryear with its bulky bezels and physical home button. Compared to 2017's Android flagships – and even Apple's own upcoming iPhone X – the 8 Plus looks quite dated.
Pros:
- Great camera(s)
- Very fast
- Good display
Cons:
- Uninspired design looks very dated now
- Software is very samey
- Price of 256GB model is right in iPhone X territory

The iPhone 8 Plus is a big, chunky phablet that stands out like a sore thumb in the crowded marketplace filled with sleeker rivals. It's massive, and not in a good way, in an era where a big screen doesn't have to mean a big phone.
Pros:

- water resistant
- wireless charging
- fingerprint scanner
Cons:
- bad 2014 design
- no headphone jack
- no fast charger in the box
- expensive
- massive bezels
- too wide to comfortably hold
- heavy

Loving It!
I am so completely pleased with this phone. The photos are incredible in vibrant colors and clarity. I am really happy with the larger screen and memory this purchase offers me Lots of new amenities that my prior phone did not offer.

- You'll get excellent software with iOS 11

- and bezels lag behind current trends and consumer expectations
- Battery life still isn't where most people would want it to be
