Apple iPhone 6s Plus (Verizon Wireless)

Verizon's iPhone 6s Plus ($749; 16GB) is mostly just a larger iPhone 6s , which some people want so they have more room to watch videos and play games. But it also has noticeably better video recording than the Phone 6s, and it's a bigger panel to write and draw on as well.

Excellent optical video stabilization; Big screen is ideal for gaming and video playback; Improved network performance over iPhone 6 Plus

Expensive; Average battery life

iPhone 6S Plus Review

The battery life took a hit, but Apple's iPhone 6S Plus is the best iPhone to buy.

Same gorgeous look and quality build; Big camera upgrades make a difference; 3D Touch livens up iOS 9; Stronger aluminum construction

Smaller battery; Entry-level 16GB storage is insufficient

Review: Apple iPhone 6s Plus

Everything that feels obvious now, once didn't. This goes double for smartphones: All the pinch-to-zoom, touch-friendly interactions we now take for granted and marvel at a two-year-old's ability to figure it out, didn't always seem so natural.

Everything great about the iPhone is even greater here, because big screens rule; 4K video looks incredible; 3D Touch is going to be transformative; #rosegold, y'all

16GB is not enough storage; Battery life is fine, but only that; Touch ID kind of ruins the lockscreen

The iPhone 6s keeps the same design as the iPhone 6, but packs better cameras, a snappier processor and 3D Touch, a smart new way to get things done in fewer steps. Beyond that, the combination of iOS 9 and some well-built hardware help makes the 6s one of the best iPhones ever made...

3D Touch is a smart; helpful addition; First-rate performance; Improved cameras; Touch ID is faster and more accurate; 3D Touch is a smart; helpful addition; First-rate performance; Touch ID is faster and more accurate; Great camera helped by optical image stabilization; Solid battery life

Lacks optical image stabilization; Live Photos are hit-or-miss; Base model still only has 16GB of storage; Touch ID can be overly sensitive; Live Photos are hit-or-miss; Base model still only has 16GB of storage; Touch ID can be overly sensitive; Can be hard to use with one hand

The iPhone 6s Plus is huge. Though just slightly larger than last year's model, it feels like Apple took an iPad Mini, shrunk it down to almost phone size, gave it an antenna and put it in a box.

The 6s Plus's battery life is as impressive as we've seen from any current generation smartphone

Even for phablet lovers; it's almost too big for comfort; all but demanding two-handed use

A (3D) touch above: The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus reviewed

Every two years, Apple redesigns the iPhone. And in between each new design is an "S" model, one that looks basically the same as the previous version but overhauls the insides to keep things fresh. 2015 is an S year.

3D Touch is still new; but once users get used to it and developers have time to add support to their apps it's a genuinely useful feature; The A9 is much faster than the A8 and totally resolves the Plus' minor GPU performance issues.

"Hey Siri" will respond to just about anyone and can send texts; make appointments; and do other things without requiring a passcode; 3D Touch and the traditional long press conflict sometimes-you'll need some practice if you want to long press without accidentally triggering 3D Touch; The camera...

iPhone 6s Plus - Sprint

It's clear that Apple is taking its design strategy from companies that are in the business of making processors one year introduces a new design, the next a refinement of that design.

Apple iPhone 6s Plus review

The iPhone 6s Plus takes the crown as the largest, fastest iPhone to date, but it's not a whole lot more improved over last year's model, and 3D Touch is yet to prove itself. The camera is stellar though, and with OIS included that works on video too, it may be worth opting for over its smaller...

You don't need a crystal ball to figure out will release a new iPhone handset every year. It's been doing it since the original came out in 2007, and starting with the iPhone 3G, Apple's naming convention has consisted of introducing a new model number every two years, with "s" variants in between.

Apple iPhone 6s Plus Review

At first glance, the new batch of iPhones appear to adhere to what we've come to expect from an evolutionary update but as the saying goes, looks can be deceiving.

Familiar quality design with stronger aluminum build; Outstanding performance from A9 SoC; Excellent camera; 3D Touch seems genuinely useful; Improved water resistance

Apple is sticking to 16GB for the base model; forcing you to pay more on an already expensive device to get decent storage (no microSD slot either)
