Apple iPhone 6s review: The most anticipated smartphone of 2015

The iPhone 6s brings only a couple of new features in over the iPhone 6. Some are a big deal: the 3D Touch display, 12MP camera and bump to 2GB of RAM. Others are less so - do we really care that it's now available in ‘Rose Gold'? Nope.

Apple iPhone?6S

The iPhone story for 2015 is remarkable in that it is an ‘S' year, which usually means incremental changes with no obvious physical difference from last year's model, but Apple's given the iPhone 6S a complete structural and functional makeover.

Apple iPhone 6s: Australian Hands On

So there are new iPhones . I see . Sure, they look the same as the last ones, but don't let your eyes fool you: these new tiny rectangles are made almost entirely of Good Things.

Apple iPhone 6s

The Apple iPhone 6s has a faster A9 processor, improved cameras, pressure-sensitive touchscreen, and is less prone to bending. It's basically an updated iPhone 6, and comes in new colour options too. As always, Apple has delivered a good product, but it's vastly over-priced.

The Apple iPhone 6s has landed . Just like clockwork, Apple has launched its latest flagship phone, and this year's version looks like a tweaked, souped-up version of last year's model - but there's more than meets the eye.

Apple claims everything has changed with its brand new iPhone 6s, but it's more of a refinement rather than a revolutionary leap, and that's no bad thing at all; Last year's iPhone 6 was a huge step forward for the Cupertino giant, ushering in two new handsets that can finally compete with the...

Of course, with Apple's premium products, price is the big elephant in the room, and you'll be reaching deep into your wallet if you want to grab an iPhone 6s; Starting at £539, the 16GB model might be tempting to get as the cheapest option, but that's still very pricey, especially when you can grab...

Don't be fooled by its looks because the iPhone 6s is a brand new phone

Big changes have been made to Apple's iPhone 6s. The naked eye will consider this smartphone identical to its predecessor with its eerie, twin-like looks, and yet this generation's model represents a substantial step forward, from the fabric of its metal body to the computing components that...

Improved construction; 3D Touch will reap genuine benefits; Faster processor and double the RAM; 12MP rear and 5MP front camera; TouchID is among the best finger scanners

Cameras lack OIS and could be higher in resolution; Battery life still lesser than rivals

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus review

By now, the "S" series iPhone follows a predictable pattern: it retains the same design as its predecessor, but debuts a new flagship feature that, over time, trickles down (or…

Excellent build quality; Beautiful design; High-quality display; Excellent battery life (iPhone 6s Plus; Consistently good camera quality; 3D Touch has great potential; Live Photos are are great; Touch ID speed improvements; "Hey Siri; iOS still has the best apps

Expensive; Mediocre battery life (iPhone 6s; 16GB base storage is too low; Low-light camera performance regression

iPhone 6S review: an elegant evolution

Jeremy White, Product Editor, WIRED It is always tricky asking people to part with their cash for a new phone when outwardly the device looks no different. It makes the sell on the updates that much harder -- you hear lots of phrases like "it's the same, but everything's changed" and "redeveloped...

Apple iPhone 6s – full Australian review

While the launch of an ‘s' model iPhone is generally more of an update than an overhaul, there are actually quite a few new features in the iPhone 6S to get excited about.

Great 12 megapixel camera; fun video modes including 4K; 3D Touch; powerful

Pricey

Apple iPhone 6s review

"Everything's changed" is pushing it, but within the 6s' familiar body lies a surprising amount of innovation

Sweet camera with lovely extra features; Touch ID is we-can't-believe-it fast; All round powerful performance; 3D Touch is a time-saving delight

3D Touch and Live Photos could both do with broad third-party support; Battery life hasn't been improved upon
