If you don't need the scale of the iPad Pro, but want something more exciting than the 9th Gen iPad, the 2022 iPad Air's addition of an M1 processor helps future-proof it when it comes to running those ever-increasing power-hungry apps.
Pros:
- Excellent performance thanks to Apple M1 processor, Improved front-facing camera, 2nd Gen Apple Pencil stylus support
Cons:
- Still no Face ID, Storage limited to 256GB (and still no 128GB option), Rear camera isn'
- t great, Accessories are expensive

ProMotion and more storage would have been nice, but this new Air is a top-quality package – not least because of that M1 chip.
Pros:
- Powerful M1 chip, Excellent build quality, Vastly improved front camera, Rich app and hardware ecosystem
Cons:
- Only 64GB entry-level storage, Poor external display support

Yes, if you are looking to upgrade from an earlier iPad. Yes, if you want a powerful iPad but don’t want to spend as much as on the iPad Pro. Yes, if you want a computer that you can carry everywhere and literally do everything with.

Can’t really fault it The M1chip speed is amazing The weight and grip of it is comfortable Cam is superb. The speakers are impressive I use it for work and play. 10/10 would recommend

Well I’ve only had this a week or so,it it’s the bet one I’ve had.it does as it’s told when it’s told,my previous one didnt. It’s lovely & immediately alive to the touch.

By integrating the M1 SoC into the iPad Air Apple managed to close the gap between the Air and the Pro. Overall performance is superb and should last for many years to come. At the time of writing there were practically no apps that pushed the M1 to its limits.
Pros:
- great design and build quality, fast M1 processor, good IPS display without PWM flickering, very good speakers
Cons:
- 60 Hz display, no Wi-FI 6E
